Hey.. I'm thinking about jumping to another server, and I'd like to know how are the politics and the endgame pvp on Deviane? Who are the big alliances, how's the hero/castle division, stuff like that..
its one big zerg alliance versus the rest of the server nonfactors.
prepare to be horrifically unsatisfied by BloodyPirates, Fate, Mafia, P00t, OlympusGuards, P*, and all their subclan scum.
move somewhere else. i did and i love taunting devianners over and over about Fate and their "gip" on the server.
you see they own 75% of the hero spots and ex fate members are all parts of the zerg. fate doent need to own any castles anymore as most of them are thrice subbed and do nothing but kill each other for rep points all day long.
All the clans you listed are warring eachother, or at least 90% are... what exactly do you know? Fate doesn't even have the most heros anymore man, Syndicate does and now p00ts got 4, Fates got 5.

l2.devianne.com is another place to go, a little less flames there.
Yeah, I took a look at the l2blah devianne section, seems interesting.. The hero distrib doesn't look so bad, and that's a good start.. How are the sieges? Are they balanced? How's the castle distribution like? Is there pvp around? And by pvp I don't mean ganking solo XPers.. :p
Anyway.. Thanks for all the help so far, seems like a good server.. I might start a char there just to see what's up, getting to the low 20s won't take me long anyway.. :)
PvP is useless... be prepared to be ganked in your solo spot by a group with a boxed CoV buffer.
Seiges ... haven't been to a seige in so long can't answer.
Ebaying... lucky all the ebayers have all bought their A grade gear and prices are starting to fall again. 6months after the grek ebaying zerg came A grade helms have dropped almost to pre-ebayer levels.
But there are some really nice people on this server. Our problems are probably no different than other servers.
Well,i have only one char in one server and that's Devianne..I like the server..E-bay is a HUGEEE problem..Not only Greek are ebaying (i am from Greece and i have never ebayed and i will never do it,even if one day i get to lose at pvp from an ebayer..I don't care..the problem though is not only at a grade ppl..I think it starts from d grade ;)
Regretfully, Devianne is the unofficial "Greek retail server". Hero chat is spammed with greeklish (even though it's good for foreign players... Even rocks would turn red in shame if they understud what was written there) and generaly, most griefers, scammers, gankers and rest *ers are greek.
Foreign players are nice though and there are some pretty cool clans around.
Anyway, it's a tough server to go around but that's prolly why I like it so much! :)
i dont recomand it for any player thats not a greek it's like a personal hell wish NCsoft realy soon have the server transporter soon

countessofaden said it best. but im gonna add my two cents anyways. i dont know a lot about politics, im always the last to know stuff, but my general take on dev clans: bp will kill anything thats flagged, even baby buffalo pets. p00t had the logo for Ebay as their clan/ally tag for some time, on several occasions ive seem them kill their own clannies. only difference i see between fate and mafia is that mafia has the zirache sword 90% of the time. have some friends in P*, mirm, used to have some in OG, basically all the greek clans are the same. if you are in "their" room they will kill you. in the mid level range the server isnt bad. if you want to play for endgame you're in for a lot of dissapointments, and a greek dictionary.

why would they? its a player controlled server, not GM controlled.
It is true that Greeks are a majority in this server and that sexual activity of the opponent's mother is the favorite theme of discussion during PvPs, but at least this is an interesting server. Castles change hands often and there some big clans that fight among them, not one or two to rule them all.
