had someone today say necro pet was stronger than summoner pet, then ofcourse they said it had to be buffed. I dont have a necro so dont know its pet stats, but was always under the impression it was just used for its hp/transfer pain. But which is better? I'm subbing necro eventually, but always fun to know =_).
Wait, how are we comparing a Necro Pet and a Summoner Pet?
Base Summon Stats: No Buffs?
See my Pet is part of me, so I enclude all the Self Buffs I have for it when comparing it to other pets. In this case a Summoner pets are better with the Buffs. If you just compare base stats then necro I think edges it out, but not sure I have not seen the base stats of the necro pets.
On a side note, Summoners get a new Summon come Interlude. Take for example the King of Cat, it is said to take B crystals, and be a 10% DD pet and you get it at 79. Now I don't know the base stats of King of Cat yet or any of the new summon's pets stats yet but I can suspect that they will be something very powerful.
buffed or unbuffed the necro pets are stronger. If you just pit the summons against each other (no help from master) the necro pet will most likely win.
Without OUTSIDE buffs(ie buffs from the summoner are ok) the summoner pet will win, I never summon my pet without immediately applying the buffs I have for it.
If they are fighting without the summoner buffs also, the necro pet will definitely win.
Can also add this, ALL base summons. Aka summoners 30% summon and melees 15% summons got all the same P.atk, P.def, M.atk, M.def, Atk.speed, Cast speed, Run speed, accurezy, evasion.
There is a few minor difference, the melees summons got less HP, and the Necro got double the crit rate.
A true summoner's pet is better hands down. Only real thing a necro pulls the pet out for is TP.
A 1v1 fight between a Necro and Summoner is a close battle, but summoners come out on top more often.
Take care

you are joking right?
sure summoners can heal thier pet and necros cant but then what? a necro is a summoner that is still a nuker. so same hp and a pet that can hit you AND the abilty to nuke you to kingdome come. hell the necro would prob win without its pet ^^ but ofcourse I could be wrong =P

that's why we have Anchor for those things get that annoying pet out of the way and fry-cook the summoner alive :p
Look at the Cursed man, got a stun and mortal blow type skill. I've seen one with over 3K patk, with VR it can solo L room in Imperial Tomb with no problems. Talk about overpowered :p
Oh.. and the Necro that neglect to use it pet when he's able in PVP, sucks. I've seen so many fights against necros, where the necro should win if he had even made the pet hit just a couple times. Corrupted man's drain isn't all that bad either, unless you ahve many unholy resists.
Pets are also VERY nice HP pool for Necro and SH, low mdef, lots of HP drained.
You realize that the summoner can cure paralysis right?
As I've mentioned in the above post, my PvP experience against summoners is very limited, nor do I have any 1st hand experience playing a summoner, so no, I don't know that.
FYI, I've had my Mew fight a Cursed man with equal buffs before to see which was better, with no help from us (no heals). Lvl 68 Mew against a lvl 72 (? Necro had lvl 70 skill) Cursed Man. Both had equal outside buffs (PP and SE). Cursed man crit twice on Mew. Mew still won with over 1k hp.
That's why I'm asking if he's talking about the summoner cures for the servitor or the seraphim's special (which cures paralysis, silence, sleep, root and stun for the whole group).
