Alot of the skills and such for a Tyrant are Str dependant... what im tring to figure out is.. What depicks the chance that a Tyrants special will Crit.. Str or Dex..? Even the Tyrants lvl 77 skill says that its influenced by Str.
Hmmm...With a base Dex that is REALY low to begin with.. I bet i wouldnt even see a difference in how often i crit with specials if i got a Dex tat....
Were I you I wouldn't try to bolster my weaknesses. I'd enforce my strengths.
I.e. whatever the stat is that assists attack speed I'd enhance, reducing the time between your specials.

Tyrant's main streight is attack speed, but it comes from skills and not dex, sinc orc dex is lowest there is. Other steinghts are not being such a squeeshy as other light armor classes and prety good str.
iirc crit on specials for tyrant is influenced by the same factor that dagger specials crit occur but to an even lesser extent. i.e. dex.
This is incorrect. NC has not released any such information to my knowledge. A lot of testing was done by players to find out what affects Glad/Tyrants special's crit rate, and the results were inconclusive. No correlation was found between the crit rate and any of the base stats.
As far as playing to your strengths, as an orc fighter, i believe your strength is your con, so i'd boost that and screw dex. This works especially well for tyrants since you can reach insane atk spds, crit rates, and run spds even with the lowest dex in game. So even with -8 dex a tyrant should still crit more, run faster and atk faster than the majority of melee classes as those abilities are not stat dependent. Increasing your dex would yield mediocre increases at best.

CON? That won't do a **** thing for you except in pvp.
If your a Tryant, you really don't need CON in pve either. For HP you either have VR, combined with your fast atk speed to maintain hp, or you have a actual healer. And if you solo, the hp pots that drop can cover pretty much anything else. As for stun resist you get from CON, mobs stun power is stupidly high anyway so raising your CON doesn't do much at all for you. And reducing your CON might make you stun a little easier, but since mobs stun pretty high already that doesn't mean much. (A lot like how -MEN doesn't hurt nukers much at all.)
As for DEX, I'm loathe to reduce it any further than an orc's already low starting stat. Granted the reductions are a bit lower than if you had a high DEX to start, but its like critical buffs given to a dwarf, they don't work so well because dwarfs main weapon is so deficient in crits to start with, but add just a little bit more (Meteor Shower w/Focus for example) and suddenly a little bit more base goes much farther.
So, Orcs may have the highest CON, but that is actually one of the weakest stats to have a lot of. But your STR! That's almost as high and the returns on boosting that ARE good! Combine a really fast attack with more damge per hit and that really adds up. I'd say a -CON +STR build are the best for a pve build. For pvp, I'd be more inclined to go with a -DEX + CON build (Or -STR +CON) As in those cases your damage will come more from being able to survive long enough to cripple, stun and get close than it will be to hit harder per hit.
I noticed that with a Tyrant.. A +Str Tat doesnt realy make your specilas hit that much harder at all, to be giving up your Con for.. With no buffs.. I had a +2 Str.. And i tested a special on somoene in the arena.. ( Both of us unbuffed ) Then i removed the tat and tried the same special... ( On the same person ) And the damage was about 45/50 Lower.. Not much of a difference.. If the extra HP allowed you to do 1 more special in PvP.. it equals to alot more damage then just the extra 40 to 50 a shot..
+Str is great for PvE. If you need levels before you are much use in PvP anyway a +4str -4con tattoo is very cheap (relatively) from PCs in Giran.
Yes, STR doesn't do much for 'skills'. Most of those are based heavily on the 'power' rating of the skill. The reason +STR is good for PVE is because you rely on regular hits to do most of your damage. (+Totem effects) You really don't want spam the skills in pve as you would run out of MP really fast.
In pvp, MP use is pretty irrelevant as you either spam your skills and kill the other person ASAP (usually a nuker, archer or 'squishy' melee) or your dead. Fighting a Destroyer or pvp build (CON) dwarf is a bit different...but not terribly 'common'.
As STR increases your damage on regular hits though, that means faster kills, slightly less SS used and lets you level faster if you want to reach 'pvp levels' sooner. Most 'pvp' chars are at a minimum in A grade equip, currently there is a 'significant' number of them in S grade/subclass/high 70's so reaching those levels (relatively) quickly will take a pve build until then.

my specials as a dorf hit about 90% as hard with a chrono then they do with a real weapon
i always thought skill crits were based on actual crit rate since mine seem to crit 10% of the time (close to my crit rate)
might just be a coincidence
