Hey at the moment im just killing things in SODA im a level 15 dark elf mystic just wondering if theres anywhere i can go where ill get mana drop things as i have to keep sitting down for ages here cus mana drops seem to be very very sparce if i get any at all.
Just between SODA and the Wastelands, you will find lots of bats - Festering Bats and RedEye Bats. They are wind-weak, so windstrike away until lvl 20. Do your Class Change Quest, then port to Plains of Dion and hunt Monster Eye Destroyers (again, wind-weak). Stay there until 24-ish.
By that time, you'll either have good heals (Oracle) or Tempest (Wizard). Go nuts.
I like this last answer better. A solo de mage at 15.......the starter areas were DESIGNED for you to be able to level fairly efficiently there.
SODA is good for you right now. Gludio is reasonable alt since you can port there for free and it's not too scary.
Depending upon your gear/weapon you are either getting a bit more competent or still a danger to yourself. Problem being if u draw 2 aggro you usually die.
Just my opinion, stay in starter areas till class change (generally cheaper). If you absolutely MUST go somewhere else, go where the newbie tokens will take you for free (gludio in your case).
Find green mobs you can one-shot. These aren't the fastest way to level quickly but it is efficient and will leave you with a bit more adena.
You know the swampland was made for you at 15 right? You can easily and quickly get a level or two there. Then step up to spider's nest--hunt SODA--whatever.
Class change is right there anyway--you will have to return for it.
Presumably you have both DE weapon quests (that second one is easier to solo right at lvl 15 if you haven't done it already). Even if your current weapon is better than those you can sell them.

Also, just be mindfull that the zombie creatures in the swamp are resistant to magic so avoid them.
Also, I would say that monsters you can one or two shot are fine. It depends if the weapon you have can give you enough punch for a one shot.
When I started there weren't any blessed shots so I did quite a lot of leveling by 3 shotting (also you tried not to hunt green mobs back then if you could help it.)
