How to upgrade topNG -> low-D weapon?

Hello!
Is there any way to upgrade topNG weapon to low-D?
Like I did for NG weapons in armor shop (exchange weapon).

I mean is there a way to swithch to D-grade weapon using NPC only.

No you can't, what you can do is upgrade D grade weapons with Blacksmith of Mammon with Ancient Adena. And D grade weapons can be upgraded into C grade weapons when you upgrade the best D grade weapon.

You really only want to upgrade weapons within a grade range. It's cheaper and easier to just sell the D weapon (Or even crush if it's not Top D) and buy C from the Luxury shop than upgrading a top D to Low C through Mammon.

sell your NG weapon, use cash and buy a low D weapon either from another player (not likely - not a big market) or from an NPC.

Yeah, well i didn't want to give him an economic answer, just tell him that D to C is possible. But yes, you are right, the top D grade weapons are not worth upgrading.
Top D is worth in crystals around 2.2-2.3
Sell price on Franz is around 2.5-2.8 depending on the ammount beeing sold.
Lowest C is worth maybe around 3M tops, so yes, upgrading is not worth it here.
