Hi again all, I just hit 20 on Bartz and am not sure where to level, I hear this is a good time to start teaming up with players, if anyone wants to try grouping up for some exp, money, gold, or fun, let me know.
I'm fairly ignorant about where to level, roles of classes, etc, so I definately could use advice on good places to farm and get gear.
So far I have a 20 elf wizard and it's pretty hard to solo now, my nukes are barely hurting enemies anymore (even with the new rank spells at 20). It's easy with the unicorn but since he's on a 3 hour cooldown and costs like 4000 adena to summon, it's tough to grind exp fast at all.
If anyone feels like helping me learn the game more let me know and I'll make classes that compliment your needs, I love support classes like healers and buffers. Just tried wizard first since my friend made a knight, but I'm ok with making a new character.

I don't mind making a new character, I wasn't sure what the good servers are. I agree the farming seems bad, there is usually 100+ bots in all the newbie towns on Bartz...I'll check out Lionna.
Look on Lionna. I don't know much about other servers but people are pretty cool there.

Dion was one of my favorite places to level. Go outside the gate that leads to the Execution Grounds. You will see Enku Orc Champions and Monster Eye Searchers. You can grind on them till about level 26, then if I were you, I'd head to Fortress of Resistence (spl?) Till about level 35ish. Once you hit that you should try porting to Schuttgart and to Plunderous Plains and you can go to level 40 there. Be warned that on Bartz hardly anyone (if any at all) sell dbsps at Schuttgart. This is what I did for exp.
For money I would most definately look into the manor system. Its fairly easy and totally worth it. If you are needing gear I would recommend becomming an academy student in a clan, there is a quest you can do in the academy that can get you close to top d gear...well armor anyway.

Dbsps are D Grade Blessed Spiritshots. They increase you spells' power when they are used in conjunction with a D Grade weapon.
In town you will see like a wooden trailer/cart thing with a guy in front of it called the "Dion Manor Manager". Talk to him and he'll give you the rundown on the manor system.

to the OP
1) you need a decent mage weapon with high mattack , the stuff that you get from quest is adequate at low lvl.
2) you can use blessed spirit shot and spirit shot to increase your damage.
3) your best bet is finding a healer SHilden Oracle to duo :) . But SO is very rare now x.x,

There are heroes on Bartz that would love to help you. If you ever see blue chat, pm that person and ask lots of questions. Continue with all blue chat you see.
Can anyone explain the manor system? I tried sowing seeds and harvesting the corpses and got "some dark coda fruits" when I tried to sell at the manor manager all I got was 41 "stems" and no cash, did I do something wrong?
My wizard can't really solo anymore without the unicorn and the monsters I used to kill don't drop enough cash, I'm so stuck right now, is it better to delevel to get more money?
Also I doubt a hero would want to waste time with a newbie but I'll try I guess, I never saw blue chat text yet though.
A lot of these questions are from my sister too, but she is too lazy to post on the forum ^_^

Good advice for a twink, but not a newbie, lowbie toon, especially a nuker.
The eyes are 2x hp mobs that will BBQ him real good unless you have good jewelry. Still, a nuker such as the OP who probably has NG weapon/jewelry and not even using D-bsps would be very rough.
He would be better off killing things around Gludio till about 24 or so and less problems.
PS, contrary to what I've seen on other servers, namely Gustin and Erica, the Heroes on Bartz are actually quite helpful. They are always friendly and will broadcast mammon locations, raids, and buying and selling messages that you ask them to re-broadcast to the whole server.
Which is definently a good thing as opposed to seeing messages like: "You got pwned. Go Lvl" or crap like that =)
