Crafting: Where's my recipe book?

I have a dwarf that is level 16. I have registered a few recipes and the message tells me it has been added to my recipe book. Now I realize that the recipe book icon is supposed to be on my inventory screen, but it is not.. Is there a quest I need to do? Maybe a keyboard shortcut to open the recipe book? I'm lost....
It's in your skills list.
Okay, I see dwarven craft and common craft in my active skills list. When I click on either it simply says "You use dwarven craft" or "You use common craft". I don't see a recipe book open up or anything else besides "create item" which is passive and does nothing when I click it.

I would initialize the interface by going under options and then I think it's the last tab, might be "game".

Then double click on the dwarven craft skill again.
Thanks! That worked perfectly! =)
Little trick: drag most commonly used recipes from your recipe book to hotbar. That way you can use them instantly. Also, when you sit and hit Dwarven craft, it tells you to buzz off because you are sitting. With the shortcut trick you can bypass this limitation.

should note that you cant actually craft useing that button (otherwise legit dorfs would be able to afk craft :/ )
all it does is open the book to that recipie
most crafters use it just to bypass that "you cant use a skill while sitting" crap
That's what I mean, of course you need to click OK button (many, many many many times till your mouse and finger is dead :p )
Does that also work if you have a shop open? I usually have to start crafting first, set up shop and then continue crafting. I can't set up shop and then start crafting :(

Put any recipe from your book on a hotbar, setup your shop, click the hotbar button and craft away! If you want to craft something else, click the "Back" (or whatever it is) button and you'll have complete access to all of your booked recipes.
