Elrohir and Sovrath (Tennessee mechanical engineers) were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up.
EllieBelly walked by and asked what they were doing.
We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole," said Elrohir, "but we don't have a ladder."
EllieBelly took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement, announced, "Eighteen feet, six inches," and walked away.
Sovrath shook his head and laughed. "Ain't that just like a blonde? We ask for the height and she gives us the length!"
Chem E's are weird. No doubt about it. Something about working around all of those chemicals (I almost went that way). I dormed for a year with a mining engineer. Craziest [censored] I've ever met. Booze, guns and explosives. Usually in that order. I remember somewhat fondly the lazy Saturday afternoon when we blew the window out of our dorm room and the haunting aroma of ether and gunpowder. Good times.
