Hello I recently got back into l2 after a 1.5 year break but something is wrong the population in noobie places seemed to decrease i remember back in late c2 finding a full group to grind in ef or er was easy as pi but now its like an impossible chore to find anyone to play with at lower levels i also checked the group finder and noone is using it on all servers exept for that lonely 65 prophet has grouping become obsolete?
please tell me it isn't like this at mid and high places too. or maybe no newbies start the game anymore?

ps:can someone reccomend a non euro time server that has plenty of friendly people average pvp nice prices good population and a moderate amount of new people coming for me to play on (im too lazy to check out all the servers thoroughly) sorry for the long question
ty in advance :D
Population is fine, but since you've been out for so long, grouping at lower levels is uhm the last thing that I personaly would want cause hell, people/groups would only slow me down. read about the new and improved noob benefits as to why and you'll see why most people refuse to group at low levels.

the group finder is the most useless thing in the game and most people use to further their merchanting skills as opposed to finding actual groups.
Areas like EF and ER were designed, IMO, for the huge influx of new players when the game started. Since then it's much, much faster to solo so you don't see groups in there like you did in open beta. Those sure were good times though. It picks up once you hit Dion, which is around level 25.
Yeah, when the game was newer, there were many people joining, and the newbie towns were pretty full.

There are still a lot of people, they're just at the higher end areas, and fewer newbies. If people had constantly been joining like they did at beta, we'd have such unbelievable overcrowding.
EG not best place for group. Maybe it raid boss or catacombs/necro or orther place with mobs x4. at low lvl is very difficult find and create good exp group, and solo be better....
Yes, at levels < 20, most people do not group. With the newbie benefits like the newbie buffs, free soulshots/spiritshots, weapon exchange, lvling from 1 to 20 can easily be done in a weekend even for somebody who has no real clue of the game. That's why there are no people in the newbie areas anymore - there are far less people joining the game now than during the early days, and those who DO join outgrow the newbie areas very fast.

After the first class change, you can join dusk/dawn and enter catacombs, or go hunt raid bosses, and that's when the grouping starts. Like somebody posted up there, go Dion and you will see more people.

My lvl 15 Dwarven alt with top-NG polearm and newbie buffs (VR included) can pull half of EF solo. Why would you need full groups there these days?

And not so many people play below 20 these days. I mean, it's just 2-3 evenings to outgrow them solo without any outside help if you are smart enough to know how to group. Most players willing to group at these levels are probablly alts looking for new academy members.

I always ask for grops in the clan/ally chats first, then look for friends online, and only then look into party matching. Most people that group do the same.

Hindemith should be OK for you.
We managed three characters from 1 - 20 in less than 6 hours within my clan on three seperate occasions.

As has been said, most people won't be partying much under 20.
