I'm a level 20 dwarf who just went the artisan route, completing the quest and making the artisan selection, but the blacksmiths do not show a 'create item' skill on the learn skills list. Where can I get this??

The create item skill should have first become available at L5. (Dwarven fighter)
Once you become an Artisan (L20), you will learn all your new skills from a blacksmith. (Bounty Hunters will learn their new skills from warehouse keepers.) All your unbought skills that were available from your sub-20 levels will still be available from either location. Note: This is a blacksmith and *not* the "Head" blacksmith. (Usually 2-3 various 'smiths' are found in each town.)
And if you don't see the skill on your list....have you tried scrolling the list down? (Is the scrollbar missing or all skills purchased?)
You can check your active skills for the 'create item' active skills and your passive skills tab for the current level of your create item skill.
If all else fails...post a link to a screenshot of the skills listing you get when talking to a trainer. (Blacksmith.)
