L3 hits the scene? is our "career" in L2, limited and with expiration date?
i know that its not the right time to ask such thing but it would be nice to know whats gonna happen to our favorite game.
I hope there is some info released on L3 soon. I want to know if its really going to happen. Right now were getting very little info on Aion. Which looks like a sweet game to. But I would really hate to go from L2 to Aion and then get some info on L3 and move to that.
I am waiting for info on L3 also, I will also be leaving L2 so I can get in from the ground up(would have gone to franz, but I cant play on euro times :( ).

They have indicated that they want to run all of them side by side. Now, of course this is dependant on each games financial situation.
Also, keep in mind, though L1 is still going, it has a small following in the states (not sure about euro players). So it is possible that L3 could affect the L2 population and that L2 will have a smaller population.
My thought is that if Aion doesnt pan out to be what I want it to be and L3 has significantly different gameplay, I might go to L3. If not then Ive put to much into my character to throw it all away.
Unless of course the Art design is so amazing in L3 that my senses override what my logical mind wants.
L3 will be my chance to get in on the ground up, since I didn't do so with L2.
I have a rule never to buy a new game the instant it comes out. It's rarely failed me.
However, someone explain to me the advantage of being in a game the instant it comes out? I've never understood the "want to be the first one in" mentality; for anything, really, movies, games, etc. I know lots of people brag about being around since beta but I don't get it. Not flaming anyone, just not understanding it.
It's so we can shake our sticks and say "why back in the day we didn't even have BSPS!!! and if we did we couldn't AFFORD IT!" ;D
No really that first rush is amazing, I miss the parties in EF, finding every room with players, gaping at how "much" a 70k weapon was, going to new areas not knowing what to expect, etc.
...and people in the party yelling at ya to stop hitting the ss button constantly because "thats what the healer is for". hehe i don't think you need to worry about l2; it isn't going away for a long long time :)
Well they still launching new ares frequently, i know that for the guys that play l2 since the beginning is should be pretty boring by now. But wht yu expected you can't play the same thing forever and expect to feel like it's something new for yu forever...
Anyways i still think l2 have some good roads for everyone running into. Lets hope they don't forget about l2 when l3 comes up. It would sounds bad for ncsoft if they act like that...
I've been playing catchup since I got this game which is, of course, compounded by the fact that I actually earn my way. Would be nice, if even for a fleeting moment, to not be the lowbie.
i been playing l2 for only aprox 8 months i love the game best game of his type ive ever played,,,1st ive heard of a l3 being released,,makes me think wether to spend so much time in the game if its gonna go down hill as soon as l3 is released,,,anyone heard of a date wether it be true or not as to when this is likely to be realeased...............
Nothing official has been released in regards to L3(that I am aware of). Supposdly their is going to be an announcement in Q1 2007(sometime soon) and a website up this summer, but it is all through unofficial news and nothing is confirmed about that. If that is true than the game probably wont be released until sometime in late 2008.
