1h Blunt VS 2h Blunt

Is there any difference between the 2?

I know that the 1h blunts have high accuracy but low crit rate, does this stay true for 2h blunt?

I know that with the 2h blunt my Raider can use more skills than with a sword, but if it doesn't crit as much, does it really worth using it instead of the 2h sword?

Only difference between a 1H weapon and a 2H weapon of the same type is the Patk and the Attack speed. Accuracy and crit rate are the same for both 1H and 2H versions of the same weapon type.

2H Weapons have more Patk (But don't allow you to use a shield) and have a 'Normal' attack speed.

1H Weapons have less Patk but have "Fast" attack speed. (Plus you can use a shield.

When choosing a weapon for a Raider/Destroyer just keep these in mind:

Crit > Stun
2H = Greater SS effeciency. (More damage per SS use.)

Thus 2H Swords give the best return, and 2H blunts is worthwhile versus a 1 hander if you have to go blunt. (At least outside of pvp. Aka - loss of the anti-archer shield.)
way i hear it is 2 handed blunt will give about 10% more dps
me personally i stick to a 1 hander since the faster attack speed allows me to spam skills more often

since 90% of my pvp involves me chaseing after some kiter if i finally do catch them i want stun to actually be ready
if the guy is dumb enough to stand still i want the ability to attempt chain stuns

on the other side of the coin the mathematics of stun dictates that once a target is stuned it will break on average after 2.6 hits
logic says the best way to maximize your damage is to output the maximum amount of damage in those 2 hits

in pve 2 hander is usually the way to go but because of the fact crit > all a meteor shower/ focus would prolly out damage any 2 handed blunt on the market while buffed

i currently use an infinity cleaver (2 handed hero sword)
i dont have any sword masteries but that is easily the highest damage weapon a dorf could ever use
stun is so amazingly gimped that i dont miss it one bit
in pve its just a case of useing armor crush then hopeing for a few crits
in pvp i dont use any skills
awesome thanks guys. i though that to be the likely answer(s), but wasn't 100% on that.

guess that i'll sport no fancy 2h blunts for me :p

For an Orc 2H Swords rock....for a dwarf, a 2H blunt is about the best they can hope for. :/

and its not very impressive
either go meteor with focus or stick with duels/ 2 handed sword until the high 60's
in interlude i think they are adding top A 2 handed blunt with focus and that will prolly be the way to go for pve

Just an FYI for all of you who wish to know about differences in 1H vs. 2H blunts.

I have used both a Meteor Shower with Focus and a Destroyer Hammer with Haste. Both fully buffed and unbuffed, the Meteor Shower out damages the Destroyer Hammer by leaps and bounds. Even with Haste SA on the DH, I still didn't swing anywhere near as fast as I did with the MS. The patk difference is actually miniscule taking into account masteries, tattoos, and armor sets. And the difference in crit rate is, to say the least, quite a bit higher for the MS (127 for MS vs. 40 for DH).

On a Destroyer you will most likely want to use a 2H sword, as crit rate > accuracy. In fact, based on what SA's I see for 2H blunts, I see no reason to use a 2H blunt unless you absolutely have to land a gimped stun.

Good, then you are the source of your own miserable complaints about how gimp dwarves are

j/k
I had the choice of a one or two handed blunt for my dwarf and i went with the two handed. I really see no difference in attack speed plus you get more P Atk.

And as i see it unless you are getting some form of shield mastery whats the sense of getting a one handed blunt.

In D Grade, you are correct, there is hardly any difference at all and a 2H sword is going to outperform almost all other weapons.

However, later in the game you will find that the attack speed of 2H blunts is so much of a detriment to your ability to both exp and pvp that you will hate them.
Indeed, the attack speed difference between 1h and 2h is very noticable. especially for skill reuse timer and skill execution.
Haste potions/Haste buff ftw.

Not that it matters greatly, but I use a two-handed sword with focus on my booty hunter. 1/2 xp mobs will be abit of a problem if thier very close to each other cause spoil takes too long to reset, even with haste (1, potions). But killing speed to me at least is great, especially since at her level, there really isnt anything worth spending time to spoil. Just xp and move on.
No matter what buffs you have there is still a noticable difference in attack speed.. ofc under the same buffs, can't even be argued, it's facts.

I assume that we're always talking about prophet/WC buffs at the very least when comparing weapons. The more buffs you add the larger the difference is between low and high critical weapons.
For Destroyer, 2handi blunt IMO is the best. yes, you get lower crit, but you still don't get alot with the 2handi Sword on an orc, and in PVP stun is very useful, really vs. archers. Example: yesterday I pvp my 42 Destroyer vs a 50 HE. I won with bearly my HP getting touched. Cause with Lionheart, there begaining stun has a lower chance of landing, by then you are at them, and stun them, then rip them to peices Reeeallly quick. By the time there stuns wears off, you stun again! and finish them off. Without stun, you would just case them around getting a hit off here and there. >.< tricky tricky archers

This will not work at higher levels. Especially after A Grade when most PvP archers are wearing Majestic. In addition, there is no reason an archer should let you get anywhere near close enough to hit them. I have both a Destroyer and an Archer as alts. Both are 40+, and my archer wins more battles than loses by a long shot. Especially vs any melee class that has no ranged attack. If you are talking about an arena fight, then it isn't fair to the archers, as they don't have the normal run space to kite classes with.

In the end, a destroyer should not be able to kill an archer of similar level simply due to the difference in run speed, and the fact that no archer should ever let a destroyer within melee range.
