1. "The Marketplace" and The "Clan Hall" forums should not be global but for each server personal. realy think about this for example i need to buy something - why i should to go to common thread and 1hr look thrue all pages and seek who and selling what on my server , going trhue bilions of posts not related to my server ???? or i am llooking for clan or recruiuting memebers - same stuff . in case of redesign .. i will go to my server thread there will chouse "Market Place" and i will see all i need realted exclusivly only to my server and no other stuff. Imho i think that logicaly this is very nice solution / comparing to the mess that is on the forum now.
2. color schema is terrable :( i know it is kind of stylish but it is year 2007!!! where is personal color schma??? Icons also looks like they did not changed since 1999!!

answer is simple - it looks much better and it is designed 1000 times better. so if u wonna to grow up communtiy do something quick.

Compare to that we have here - for 2nd month in a row same news - that ncsoft is providing free treal and Tis the seazon event . imho that sux
1. You really need to read the forums more often. She already said she's thinking about getting rid of the marketplace. This was maybe two days ago. Jeeze.
I don't think alot of people would like a bunch of blinking and flashing things at them and it going in odd ways that many of the sites do. I mean on the Japanese site, there are even Lineage II Girls found here (http://www.lineage2.jp/l2fun/lineGirl.aspx) (i'm only using the JP site as an example, as them are similar and I can read Japanese. Not Korean :P Gosh someone asked me to translate a L2 movie for them the other night and i had to explain, no thats korean. I can't read that)
With that being SAID, while there may be very cool things that each of those sites offer (and looking at the korean one, whoosh it's nice), we can all agree that maybe a nice update to the website would be nice with some new features or even some new areas. hehe looking at the JP site all day, i also kinda want a lighter sight now :P I feel warm and squishy inside :P

I did mention this the other day, and I went ahead and implemented this change -- The Clan Hall and The Marketplace forums have been removed from the message board. These discussions should now take place within their specific server forum. I agree it is hard to navigate through general forums to find a thread related to your server.
I wish I could create sub-forums, but it's not possible, but hopefully this will make it a little easier to buy and sell as well as recruit for a clan!
I'll be moving over recent threads from those removed forums during the day today.
The server forums should work for trading and selling -- no need for an offsite web site. :)
Edit: Although fan sites are always a good place to do buying and selling, I mean specifically there's not a real need for an "official" offsite trading forum.
howere tell please is it realy hard to insure your Bosses that Forum need new engine ? i belive that it is not hard to find correct arguments to argument that they should spend some money, people w/h to setup new forum engine. especialy as most of new Forum engines like phpbb are free to use and power enough to meet all requirements like sub forums / skins etc.
as i know in USA first rule of marketing is that product should look like a candy :)
about the blinking stuf and other forum features ... i dont thnk that it is realy problem of the web site itself . but ths a problem of company. that they dont investigate resources to keep web site uptoday and keep ppl to be interested in news.
as far as i know :
1 - siege reports do not work and no one updates them
2 - items database is not uptoday (including wepons / equip / recipes )
i realy belive that it dosent take 2 much time to update siege reports
and i realy belive that for 5 month that has passed since C5 update , there was a time to add items info to game database. thank god skills were added.
I actually really like the forum and the site as a whole as it is now. -Aside from all the stuff that's missing in the items database, which I want updated more than anything. It's easy to use, and it's not too heavy. When I visit a site, I want it to load NOW. I don't care about all the fluff.
In all honesty, I don't think it's the design that keeps people using l2guru. It's very nice and all, but it's the contents that makes people come back.
To be honest, I much prefer UBB.threads Forums like the various NCSoft games have, for the simple reason that it is a much cleaner layout than other forums. In fact, even though I do have accounts on other boards, I tend to use the default skins, unless they are unpleasant to my eyes.
