Stormbringer Duals

I used all my money from all my chars and made two stormbringers at the luxury shop then converted them to duals. Using two stored EWC, I increased them to 184 p.att.
I'm now just about broke.
Was this a daft move and should I sell them or do I persevere with them because they'll be very useful and help me kill better mob from now on.
I'm a noobie glad approaching 43 yet still in +4 Brig and now swaggering around with stormbringer*stormbringer+2 duals :o
Daft move, but what's done is done. ^_^

Woulda been better to save up for upgrading katanas seperately and then dualling them, since that's considerably easier on the AA - and enchanting a non-final weapon is also iffy.

Just stick with them through C Grade and try every night to sell them at a profit - and when they're gone, grab better duals. :p

Dang, I used dual storms (+0) for a long while into my 40s.
The problem is that those swords look cool, but they are bottom C grade weapons. Kind of sad really, I wouldn't mind seeing more of them around.
I was soooo proud of mine. We (my old clan) gathered all the mats, crafted and dualed them. Anybody still do that? I couldn't wait to upgrade them, though. Still, I think I was nearing 50 before I got them to spirit*raid.

Recently we crafted some FP and Doom to help one of our newer players to the game upgrade his gear. :)

To the OP, I don't think you made the best move there, but Maline already pointed out what you can do about it.
Well the word grind is used a lot here and thats what I did.
I didn't ancient adena or anything, I bought the C crystals and made money to buy and crush D stuff and had the 2 EWC from an L2 Day event.
Yes, probably more expensive than some other ways but I saw the route and took it.
I do notice that I get hit far less because of my two hits to the mob's one. Need to try it somewhere like Ivory Tower to see if I'm better off than a +3 ELS.
Now if I only knew some shield frag prices I might make a few k selling some mats.

That's where I lived at your level (on Hindemith, you'll probably see some of my blood out there. :p). One weekend I even got a chain hood and chain shield drop.

No full items so far just what I would class as "nice" mats. Stuff I'd previously only dreamt about lol.
Some evil looking Raid Bosses there though.
I think you'll be fine with the Storm*Storm through C grade at the least. I leveled to B grade with a weapon with less Patk than those. (SoWD/MoTU) And that was pretty much solo as well.

If you were able, then of course the Katana*Katana would be a better choice...but your not losing much overall. A Difference of only 15 Patk (Base Patk) is actually pretty minor at this point.

When it comes time to upgrade, always remember if it is too hard to sell the storm*storm directly, you could always just crystalize and use the crystals as partials to buy two delusions from the Luxury shop to make your B duals. (Just exchange at mammon for the equivelent needed swords...either the duals you want or the one that is cheapest to make.)
