Ok, I'm not sure if this is a big secret, but here goes.
On my server, Bartz, A crystal prices from private stores are very reasonable. A crystal prices from Mammon are outrageous. Looking over A grade items, I can't figure out how crunching any of them would lead to the low crystal prices.
Are A crystals available somewhere in the game (aside from Mammon or OE crunching)?
craft is cheaper to do and provides more crystals than required by the recipe; craft and crunch i am guessing.
aside from that, there are always free ones from drops, events, and such.
mostly think of it as "trying to get all the customers"
dont think of it as the price of the item, but look at the quantity. selling 75000 a crystals means he has been OE'ing quite a lot, using buy store for low price, and selling higher.
Well come to my server (Gustin) and you will see that by the last Mass Genocide of automated players the prices has skyrocket to double the mammon price and players that are EO'ing seems to like it since their bad lucky keeps them with same value of the weapon lost when it shouldn't.

yeah it sucks
too many ppl useing ss not enough overenchanting
i blame it in the people depending so much in the farmers and just wasting time crafting junk instead of doing really what they need. but sure making d & c overprice so they can afford b & a grade is a good deal.
thats why i went the Pure summoner way im plain not in any way affected by the recent ss/bsps prices.
