I think i'm doing something wrong.

Is it supposed to be really hard to make money before the higher up levels?
I've tried the manor thing, and I seem to pull out just 3-4k profit in about an hour or two(not including the money I make off mobs). I don't mean to sound whiny or anything, but should I not worry about gear or anything till later on? Right now i'm about level 22.

You need to find out which material is selling for the highest.. then get seeds that reward you with that material.. then you sell them.
