My main is an EE and I've enjoyed learning how to play this class. I still have a lot to learn (lvl 40), but I find I miss beating on stuff every now and then.
So I've rolled a DE fighter alt. I've played a PR before, so I kind of know what that does, but I was wanting something that is more close combat instead of ranged. As of now, I'm torn on what to do with it post-20. I've already de-leveled it twice trying to decide. I'm kind of leaning towards going AW with it, but I don't see a lot of love on the boards for dagger class. Did C5 gimp the daggers, or is it that those who play them just don't speak up much? When I get Mortal Blow to land from behind, it's freakin' awesome to watch a mob drop from a one-hit!
As for play style, I am much more PvE and don't really care much for PvP, at least not at this time. So I guess I'm asking, what are your thoughts on dagger class? Should I go Knight instead? or possibly BD? Since my main is already a healer and sort-of buffer, I'm not really inclined to go BD, even though I think it might be fun to play. Thoughts, suggestions, anyone?

Daggers are second best reroll chars in C5 (after archers).That speaks on itself i suppose?But you better go with a TH not AW.But as a dagger you wont depend on beating up.You will just want your dagger specials to land.
The only reason I don't want to go TH is that I HATE the way humans look in this game. Yeah, Light Elf males are pretty effeminate, but heck, they're ELVES, what do you expect? <grin>

BD-wanted in EVERY party (got buffs for nukers/archers/tanks and they stack with the others).
Im getting a BD sub and ill love it.Its a very nice class (and it cant be boxed so its always in demand)
You might even want to try Shillien Knight. They do alright on damage, can take a beating, and have a lot of skills. As an EE, you can overcome their stun vulnerability slightly (Resist Stun), can overcome their SS carrying problems (Decrease Weight), and you can maximize the SK's shield usage (Bless Shield / Advanced Block).
Actually, it can, very easily, especially if your SwS (if any) is live... just macro your dances and uses them with a single keystroke. If your SwS is live, do a 1-3-1 song and dance routin, and it will work out fine.
BD, and SwS, too, are actually really easy to 2-box, it's just that most people don't as their buffs don't last long enough to keep swapping them in and out of party, and it's annoying to have to keep going to the other box... and if they aren't live, they're little more than leeches.
They Walker well, though, if the bot parties I've seen are any indication.
If you actually have two PCs - it's even easier to pull of the synchronised dancing/singing than for a live BD/SwS to do it - that way, a box could probably do more dances/songs than a live combo. :/
It's a tad hard to box a BD with a Necro while lvling, specially if your in FoTD.
it can be done, macros makes it easy. but inv the switch screens is hard at times, specially if you got 2-3 mobs on you (I'm talking windows mode, not 2 comp's).
reguardless. AW does some amazing dmg. while most prefer TH, I like AW as a BD because they can help Hex mobs. AW is a really good PvE class for catas.
Also DE fighters have a higher P atk from 1-20 then a human figther does. and they remain that way up till around 52. then humans start to catch up.
Just make sure as a AW or BD not to Nerf your CON into the dirt too soon, or at all. a simple +4 str or +4 dex is all they need.
