YAY!!! Scammed for the first time!!

I've been playing unscathed for three years now, and for the first time ever, I got scammed today. It wasn't much, only about 300k, but now that my scam virginity has been lost I just wanted everyone to know how stoopid I was. I wasn't paying attention and fell for the old A-Crystal / Soul Ore jip. Lucky for me, I only buy 30 at a time....

I feel like such a n00benstein....

Nearlly got me a few times with the old soul crystals, closest ive come is strider food as varnish but realised just in time so im still a virgin! :)

Hm I was scammed once in C2 when leather and Crafted leather had very very similar icon. Lost like 600k or so on that.

I did that too about 2 weeks ago, also my first time, and the exact same scam. But I blew 2.5m LOL.

Another time I bought a EAC for EWC prices, totally not paying attention.

Then I sold some SS to a shop labeled sell shop but colored buy. I wasn't paying attention.

Now I check and recheck.

crafting mats for ridiculous price is not easy to catch.

thus, why I make mats on a toon with no money.

yes, at the cost of your recipe and all the mats AND adena.

crafting 600 CBP would be disastrous at regular blacksmiths with the cost of each rec over 100k nowadays.

This is not the first time my buff pet has tried to scam me. Oh no...

you know what you should do, pm back, and say the trade was done already, stop asking.
when they look confused, say "i gave the weapon to Glorinna ..."

I wasn't watching that screen, unfortunately. I probably would've unequipped that weapon and opened trade windows with random junk (chrono, mask, horns..).

However, I did make one guy shoot me an f-bomb once after trying to scam me the same way. I hope he got a short ban...

I had one guy, back in the olden days of Hinde (Aaronn, for anyone that remembers) ask to see my stuff because he was (of course) my clan leader.

So I took it all off, put it in the trade window.. and cancelled.

4 times.

He told me to drop it.. i said.. NO!! someone will pick it up and I will lose it FOREVER!

I restarted, rinsed, and repeated. He didn't realize what was going on until I asked him if anyone ever actually falls for it.. especially when his name is all over shout with various swears and scam accusations.

just say no. repeatedly.
