I love fishing.
In fact it's one of the reasons I play Lineage 2.
And this tournament will be awesome.

Only Problem.
How do you get the headpiece when people use "Programs" to fish... :confused:

I want the headpiece and will work my but off for it. But how do you beat something that can fish 24/7? Does NCsoft have any way to combat this? If so and if any of you see this post please just give a yes, no, or maybe... It'd be comforting to know... :(

They won't use prizing winning lures. The mask can't be sold, dropped, or traded.

Fish between 60.000 and 90.000 can be caught with any normal type of fishing lure, including Lure for Beginners. A Prize-Winning Fishing Lure increases your chances of catching an even larger fish.

You can win with any type of lure. But at least your chances are better if you use the lure made for the competition.

you "COULD" win with any lures. but thats not completely true, me thinks. if price-winning lures can give larger fishes you will prolly have no chance to fin unless you fish with those lures :/

I would like to know what 60,000 means...60,000 feet? o.O lol...inches?? even 60,000mm is a **** HUGE fish...

Only thing that sucks is if I would win this, I wouldn't want the headpiece for myself.. Can we not have it put on someone else during maintainence period?

Just fish with the char you want the headpiece on. As far as I can tell, every level has the same chance to win.

ahh so the higher lvl in fishing you are compared to the lowest the fish size is equal about? between each lvl so fair for every class.

Only problem is the toon I would want it on is a mage and she gets her butt kicked in 2 hits by a mob fish.

You should at least be able to freight the item :/

As an answer to the original post's question and the mark that u need a special lure to increase ur chances....
What makes u think that the owner of those automated fishermen,won't stuck them up with those lures...
IMO he can even buy more special ones than all legit players would buy anyway...
So the odds of a legit player winning imo ar slim to none... (and by slim I really think I'm overconfident)

funny cus everytime i check im kicked outta placement,

granted i do have a lot of time on my hands, the people i keep seeing on top 5 are people that pop up fish for about 30min-2hours then leave.
