Orvieta got it pretty much for gear. however im not a fan of touching my int because that lowers your M. attack making it somewhat harder for your spells to land. I also suggest +4 str -4con tatoo setup just because it worked great for me till the lvl I am now.
if you dont PvP, you can lower your con a lot.
you usualy have buffs? or soloing selfbuffed?
anyway, my BD got +5 str +4 dex / -9 con. neve rhad a problem with this setup, and it makes you a pretty good DD, not only a support.
you want focus weps, and if you dont pvp, there is NO reason to upgread further after you get tsu*sls /tsu*tsu duals. Agrade will only cost you a lot more in shots, and wont do more damage. only reason to upgrade if you ask me is if you got LOTS of adena so you get get OE Agrade duals, like kesh*kesh +++++++. else stick with Bgrade focus duals and get as high OE duals as you can. they will still outdamage any Agrade duals.
about armor. yea, BW heavy is a awesome set. you CAN keep this set untill you are lvl80, if you like. no shame in it.
if you realy have to upgrade, or realy want to, its tallum or majestic. tallum for damage output, and majestic for better tanking. both Agrade armor sets will make you do less damage then with BW set tho.
3 valid options. (you can mix them ofc)
high damage output.
BW heavy set, OE Tsu*sls
high attackspeed, and little better defence/hp.
Tallum heavy, kesh*kesh+4
Tank/survive set (will give you a lot more HP, pdef and stunresist)
Majestic heavy, dama*kesh+4
Tattoos:
+4STR -4CON
+4WIT -4INT (Blessed Spiritshots will more than make up for the lack of M. Atk.)
Gear:
C-Grade: Full Plate with +4Spirit*Raid
B-Grade: Blue Wolf with +4Tsurugi*Samurai Longsword
A-Grade: Tallum Heavy and either +8 or more Tsurugi*Samurai Longsword or +4Keshenberk*Keshenberk
+4WIT -4INT
if you wanna take the xtra cost of always use blessed, sure.
I dont realy se the point of boosting hex in one way, and nerf it in another.
(+casting speed for hex, and -land rate on it >.<)
for what? if it fails?
only time you need fast recharge is when you hunt big hops of x1 HP mobs and use hex on everyone of them. problem in this case is tho, you will be out of mana in no time. dances+much hexing = no mana :/

just wanted to say i have lvl 65 se buffs at all times and i mostly solo right now
i thought attack speed was the best option but i see now that it's strenght and also weapons with focus
i guess i gotta re-think my options now. not sure yet.
like i said, with this bd, i won't pvp, will be pve only, so dunno yet about the tattoos, although i have an idea cuz of ur answers

well I disagree slightly here.
C/g spirit*raid (crt duals).
B/g Tsu*Tsu +6 or more, or better yet Storm*NM +8 (+8 more P atk then +5 Tsu*Tsu) or more (S*NM 79 to crt rate Vs 54 from Tsu*Tsu, and 52 from Sls*Tsu).
A/g if your low on cash Stick with the ++ B crt duals, because there is no crt duals for A/g :( .
Or else When interlude comes Tallum*damascus: 305 base P atk, at +4... +8% atk speed, +1890 to weight and pvp dmg. Which would be better for PvP because of the much higher dmg they'd have.

for the money those would cost, will prolly be able to get +10 tsu*sls, and those have 296pattack, and crit. I still belive they are a lot better, and cheaper shots-vice. the Aduals would be a lot better in PvP I belive tho.
Any suggestions for a BD that feels his pdef and damage are both low? :P

go majestic heavy and kesh*kesh+4 if you both PvP/PvE
Blue wolf heavy+6(or majestic) and Tsu*sls+as much you can get, if you PvE only.
BW+6 is about the best armor you can get for a BD for PvE. the extra Pdef gives you top Agrade pdef and the MP regen will help you keep your dances up AND hex easily.
on bartz I have seen that set for about 150m
so for a bd only for:
- pve only
- and with tallum
-and maybe sls*tsu +++ or +4 kesh*kesh
-with se buffs at all times
- and only duoing with the se most of the time:
the best and only tattoo should be +4 str -4con?
is that my best bet or maybe add some +4 dex or forget about the dex? or go +5 str? i know u guys know more than me, (been a mage the whole time), so i will follow ur advice
if you still want to keep a medium HP pool, go +4str/-4con.
with high pdef, that shouldent be that important tho. I did go +5str/ +4dex/ -9con, but thats me. I like heavy damage output. and those extra HP would mostly not have helped you to survive either (PvE only)

Atk speed is for PvP.
Atk speed in PvE will cost you a hell of alot SS. With the cost of ***, thats not a smart thing.
Strom*nightmare is 79 crt rate Vs that of Tsu*Tsu which is 54, and Tsu*Sls which is 52.
Storm*NM at +8 is 2 more P atk then +4 Tsu*sls. and 7 more then Tsu*Tsu at +5.
My BD has +9 Storm*NM, with focus her crt rate is 180 something, with a SwS it's 248ish, with SwS and queen cat it's over 300.
yea Storm*NM is nice, for the focus. I just dont like the looks of the duals :) NM*NM if anything. tsu*tsu is the best looking ofc.
but, all those are hard to find if you want high OE. both tsu*tsu and tsu*sls are easy to find, at least on bartz. always a feew of them for sale.
yea. dont go Agrade with your wep if you gonna PvE only. unless you are very rich and want some badass looking flaming Agrade duals :)
