Yet another non-trade/drop/exchane accessory

The new accessory that will be available to the fishing champions will be given to the winners, and nobody else will be allowed to play with it.
This is getting kind of ridiculous.
I can understand some things, like the white mask. But are all the new accessories going to be first-person-exclusive?

so the item will be stuck in your inventory without the posibility to put it into the wh

how on earth would this stop fishing bots? It just takes up a slot in the inventory for the winners of the comp. Actually it is turning people away from the contest. I dont think ill spend a week fishing for 800k if I cant sell the loot in case I win.

800k is still 800k, and a rare item still earns some bragging rights :P even if i will never use it.

It's still going to be difficult to get first place against synchronized fishermen. Even if they don't use prize winning lures, they still have a much better chance at catching a larger fish than any legit player.

For example:

First the constants: You can use approximately 60 lures an hour. You can fish for 8 hours a day. Prize winning lures increase the chance of getting a bigger fish, knowing NC, it's probably a 10% increase in overall fish size. The average fish size is 75.000.

For your first week, you use 60 lures an hour, 8 hours a day for the week. Let's say you are also using only prize winning lures.

Total lures for the week: 3,360 (over 500k adena)
Total length of fish for your week is: 252,000.000
Final length of all fish (bonus from prize lures): 277,200.000

Let's also agree that synchronized fishermen have to spend one hour a day getting new lures and trading away caught fishes.

Total lures for the week: 9660
Total length of fish for the week: 724,500.000
Final length of fish for the week: 724,500.000

Synchronized fishermen have a distinct advantage here, simply in the sheer volume of fishes they are able to catch. They can catch nearly three times as many fish as any legit player can. In addition, they bonus frrom using prize winning lures will more than likely be ridiculously small compared to the increase in cost.

It's unfotrtunate, because I most definitely want to have the mask, even if I can't trade it away on my dwarf. I am still going to spend the first two weeks fishing away in hopes that I get the biggest fish on the server. But I won't hold my breath about it.
