Imp. Gravekeeper -Pursuit of Clan Ambition Help!!!

Player Questions Started Last reply 16 posts
I am doing the clan lvl 5 quest and now I am on the final stage where u beat the Imperial Gravekeeper. I have all the 6 keys for the coffin but when I go to kill Imperial Gravekeeper I get teleported again and again :( This has happened to me 6 times last night and I stopped trying cause it really got into my nerves. Is there a strategy that u can actually kill that freak and finish the darn quest?
You need more people!

Where one after another hits him, then the clan leader comes and takes the last hit... Nukers are good!
Or get somebody with paralyze :)
We were 5 ppl party all 60+. Nevertheless we kept teleporting :(
Never managed to kill this darn mob. Is it a good idea to send ppl to make him weak (leave him with almost no HP) and then I go and finish him?
i have done it a couple of times and we got only ported twice and then just ran back and killed the thing. since half of us lagged it was basically the leader killing it alone and the others taking out the slaves... once we tried keeping a healer there, if it is on a distance from the party there's a chance of it not getting ported and being ready for the leader when he runs back. the problem is that if someone for some reason does not port with the rest of the group the slaves might agro him and that can be pretty bad :(
I dont have a problem taking the Imperial Gravekeeper down alone, along with al the slaves, my problem is that when I start hitting him I always keep teleporting. It has happened 6 times in a row :( Maybe its a bug or something? Should I petition NCsoft? I will try again this afternoon and give u some feedback.
What I was wondering is:
Lets say I have 2 parties or 2 - 4 chars without a party from the clan (e.g. 4 DD 61 lvl)
1 goes and kills the slaves and makes some damage to the Gravekeeper ->gets teleported
2nd goes in kills slaves makes more damage to the Grave keeper-->also tp
3rd goes kills slaves and leaves Gravekeeper with minimal HP
4th (leader) get in and 1-shots Gravekeeper....
Anyone has tried that? You think this will work?
Two things:
1) If you draw the Imp Gravekeeper out of the pit, you won't get teleported. Our clan did this with an archer. (This is something I accidentally came across in somebody else's post a while back; I don't remember who the poster was to give them credit.)
2) Supposedly, if you are making consecutive attempts, you will only get teleported twice. This makes an alternative strategy if your ranged attackers can't draw him out of the pit. (In other words, the 3rd time is supposed to be a charm.)
The Gravekeeper teleports people away any tiime its hp drops below half, and the teleport range is quite large. He doesn't have a lot of hp through so he is is fairly easy to kill.

If you know a 76+ nuker you can one shot it.

Or you can sent in one party member to lower its hp while the rest stay way back, if you can see the gatekeeper you're still too close. You want to use a high dmg class to try get its hp as low as possible. use a Nuker, Archer , or EE.

Edit: If you have one party member that can do more than 60% dmg in one shot. beat it down as close to 50% hp as you can and have them finish it off.

Ooooo I hated this guy. Unless they've changed it, this isn't true. I did this boss in duo, actually - SE + SwS. We spent an hour being ported away from the boss, before he finally decided to let us stay put and kill him.

(I don't know about paralyze, but his port ability works thru silence, we had a friendly spellhowler silence him for us.)

QFT
I just did this quest a few weeks ago. We had 3 people lvl 64. You have to lead the guy outside of the pit. I actually led him all the way to outside the wall of the cemetary. Never got TP'ed.
That would of saved my clan alot of trouble.

They way we did it was by having 1 clan member go in to lower the mobs hp, and then the clan leader went in to get final blow.
We did this with myself and three other people. If you just pull him out of pit far enough, you won't be ported anywhere. Also, polearms are lovely against this guy and his little minions.

To Shrimps: Shouldn't you be studying or something?

Your timing is impecable ><
Your right back to studying!!!
I was just posting before heading out to school :P
Although my clan was with me, I actually did this part by myself. I hit him lightly until he ported me. Then I came back and did it again until he ported me. Then I came back and killed him and the coffer appeared. While my clan mates dealt with his minions, I opened the coffer and got the staff. No problem. It works every time this way. The clan leader has to get ported twice then kill the Gravekeeper. Some of these other suggestion may work as well, but I know that this works. Just don't kill him until you have been ported twice, and don't let anyone else hit him. Keep your clan mates back so they don't get ported as well. You will be able to complete this part of the quest in about 5 minutes, this includes the time it takes you to run back afer being ported.
i'm having trouble getting it to spawn, totally lost on that part, but i was told to aggro it then race to the back (which might be where it teleports you, idk) while it's chasing you so it's teleportation skill is useless, more specifically, i'd take it to the spot where it teleports you so if it does teleport you it's a short distance, but i have not tried this myself as i'm having trouble getting it to spawn in the first place.
you can always buy the items needed for lvl 4 and 5 from ceremony of chaos
