I've just reached 36 on my arti and had a few lvl 4 recipes in my stores. I deleted a few NG weapons and a couple of D things to make way for them. They included Chain boots, Mithril boots and top and an aquastone necky. A bit lowbie but C all the same. I need another 4 levels before lvl 5 craft and only have a few recipes waiting.
What recipes should I be looking for to use for crafting and what should I just sell on ? I'm still crafting some Brig items when I price them at 10k - 15k a hit.
I know it can be ages before someone crafts an item but I'd atleast like to offer them something they might want.
Any help appreciated, especially as I might fork out for 2000 Pocf for 6 extra slots.
ppl are prolly waiting for me to post but im really not much of a private crafter
i suggest getting all base mats registered so later on you have it abit easier crafting B and A grade
try not to register anything but top grade items and set completers but i really cant give you much more advice than that cause its not really my area
So if I look on the L2 library for the highest item in each grade list, that, or maybe one lower, would be the sort of recipes people might use.
This assumes everyone is able to get the mats for top stuff. Is there any value in the philosophy that many people will get mats for slightly lesser items and use them for a craft and either crush or wear them ? Some people must use the lesser item mats or are they all sold to the shops or do they lie festering away in peoples' warehouses ?

yeah thats a good question
i was never into the whole crafting and crystalizeing thing since it required alot of mats with very little profit and usually meant setting up shops all the time for more mats
i think most of the ppl who actually do that would prolly have those items set up on an alt dwarf so it doesnt cut into their profits
if you can find someone who wants something made and you are the only crafter you can basically charge what you want
however setting up private craft with rare items that get made once a month for 50% more than common items prolly isnt a good move
crimson boots are nice they match the divine set really well. Good again for the "fashion crowd." for the longest time I did Karmien gloves, Divine gloves, and Plated leather boots. Workes out really well for craft to sell.
Crimson and Karmian especially are nice if you split profits with a BH - since these fabrics are easy to spoil, and you can hunt for them together as soon as you get your C Grades.
Strictly sticking to C grade since thats where you are atm crafting wise.
Stuff thats gets crafting regularly from my BF's C grade craft shop:
- Full Plate Set (all parts)
- Plated Leather Set (all parts)
- Top C grade jewlery (Binding and Nassens)
- Divine Set (all parts)
- Drake Leather Set ( less often than other sets)
As mentioned before you also want to make sure you have basic mats in your book if you have any itention to craft stuff yourself. You could also have basic mats on another dorf, so that you have more room on your main crafter.
Hmm, all sounds very exciting but my arti is only 36 atm >.<
Elven Mithril gloves/boots
Brig helm/glove/boots
If you're doing craft store, stick those up with shots and mats - if you're crafting gl with the parts. Once you get to 49 the waters get deeper.. 55 & 62 starts A weapon crafts, which run for 100-250k on my server. (Invest in tallum blade rec.) 70 is nice, you can usually make the money back on a 40m adena recipe within days.
