our clan on franz server just got pwned by by lineage 2 support. last night we were waiting on everyone to log on so we could pool our adena to bid on a clan hall. many of our north american players could not log on till 30 or 60 minits till the auction ended. so we got all our adena together and went to the auctioneer and started to bid. we had 1.13 bil. before our clan leader could finish the bid the npc server went down and we were unable to even bid on the ch. youmay have heard this story before the orriginal post was deleted.
now the poster of the deleted post made another post telling the contents of the email he got from plaync. in like 15 minits he had like 50 views and almost 20 replies. and in another 20 minits his thread was deleted and he was banned from the forums.
what i want to know is why he is getting shut down? support let the npc server go down. support doesn't care about that last 5 or 10 minits. we could not get all of it together before then, but ncsoft cares not for it's players. support gave us almost 8 hours of automated responses to our petitions. support even tells us on the phone that they don't have fone lines to ppl on the other side of the building and they don't often talk to GM's.
naturally because of this, my friend, who got banned from the forums, was getting quite irate. nothing was being done to correct the mistake made by support. he, like everyone else in the clan, knew about the ch going up for sale and put all the money he got from lvling and from drops and crafting into the fund. we knew for almost 4 weeks. so all that he and everyone else worked was for naught.
so the way i see it, everyone had best be careful. if you play this game, support will mess up sometime in the future and you may be caught in the middle of it as we were. at that point you have 2 options. first, do like i did and accept that the support is lacking and continue to enjoy the best mmo on the market. or second you could freak out and try to get the situation fixed by the people who made the situation in the first place. if u choose option number 2, you may get banned from forums and blah and possibly even the game.
I for one accept the trade off and am tucking my tail between my legs and running into the corner. I am just going to push my glasses up my nose and grab some cheetos. If you want to fight for principles and morals and try to ammend the support structure of this game so problems are fixed, bots are actually banned, and people come back from playing wow, then go ahead. Step up. be a real man or woman. me, im just shallow.
