Most ppl would suggest go nuker, they are so easy to solo and when you in 20 to 40 stage look for the raid groups and have fun. Higher up you will need to make friends with an SE
in order to not have to rest for mp so much and not to die if mobs hit ya. Just remember, do green mobs and mobs that
take two shots or ya waste mp. For fighter class type, try
a destroyer/tryant they work great in any group and can solo thanks to great solo areas now.
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a class thats fun to play. One that can take some damage but can still solo and be valuable in teams. Any suggestions?
you could always try an orc mystic they're a bit more durable than the other race mystics and as far as i've heard they're popular in classes. They're cast speed kind of sucks but I think it usually goes cast spell then whack the daylights out of the mob with your weapon. So that shouldn't be a problem.
Destroyer fits your needs just fine, it is fun to play, it can take huge amounts of dmg(especially with the right setup) and deals out massive dmg too(with different setup, ofcourse). It is also good in pve and pvp, can solo and works just fine in groups. High lvl Destroyers and Titans are powerhouses and can do nasty dmg in pvp, but yea, the runspeed and attackspeed aint that high. Untill you get Zealot ^^
Overall, a great class with truely unique trademark skills and lots of tricks to master. And atleast there is more to playing a Destroyer than a archer/nuker skillwise ;)
With herbs, no problem. Or with potions in other areas, no problem again. As long as you have risk haste, haste 2 pots and use Rage, Frenzy and Zealot in pve, you can solo relatively nicely.
Especially in herb areas, hoho. Full hp most of the time.
Warcryers/Overloads: mass buffers. Does some relatively good damage
OverloRds ;) really need an Alliance to be effective. Buffing at alliance gatherings for siege, raid, or pvp, is the Overlord's main purpose. I got a big kick out of seeing my buff effect on over a hundred people the first time.
Outside of that there is AoE (Area of Effect) hunting for which you really need a party. That type of hunting seems to be much less popular these days.
Yes, OL's can buff a party, of clan mates or alliance mates, but any other buffer is better for that purpose and doesnt have the limit on who can get the buffs. A Warcryer has better buffs (for party), and has a one target DOT (Damage Over Time) that is effective. So, they are better solo/party.
Overlords are very specialized, but do a couple things really well. BTW, when my clan left the alliance we were in, I almost rerolled.
and it was a true aoe group, prof, ee, ol, bd, sws, wl, glad, and se.... and everyone had a pole aside from the healers...
and we are just low 50's, brings me back to the days of c1-2 :)
hehehe...the cap on the mobs prevets me from pulling all of al at once, but this is as close to old school aoe as you're gonna get. as i said, we are low 50, killing 65+mobs 30 at a time :)
