why my country is unique

this was actually from a comedy routine and i cant honestly say if its true or not since ive never left the country but as i watch a fly incessantly land on my hand seconds after i swat it away i figure there has to be some truth to it

difference between my country and any other is the fact you can never get a fly to go away
its gotta be pretty bad when this (http://www.sillyjokes.co.uk/images/dress-up/acc/hats/australian-big.jpg) is considered an acceptable item of clothing

The only thing that comes to mind is someone that said, "In Europe, they laugh at Americans because we think 100 years is a long time. In America, we laugh at Europeans because they think 100 miles is a long distance." or something to that fact...
