Different music ?

Has some of the town music changed ?
Giran was different last night and one of the other towns is now of lesser quality as it gets muffled at the top end.
Was it just me then ?
It was 01:45 am where I was and I'd been helping an orc do his 40 quest while on my 37 Arti so I was a bit bleary.
did not noticed any changes...
music? sound? o.O
I have never ever had music/sound turned on while playing Lineage. well, not while afk either tbh :/

maybe thats why you havent got much response :) I dont think most ppl have sounds on.
I have sound turned "Very Low" (and it's still louder than I'd wanted it to be) and music turned "Off" (because there is no "Very Very Low" in the settings).

Dunno who at NCsoft calibrated the sound volume levels in the game... someone deaf, prolly?
all crafters turn off music somewhere around lvl 25 (trust me 8 hours of the same music gets old)
i leave sound on so i can hear wartags coming and i also think it makes hunting easier since i hear crits and know the mob will die soon

This is on the top of my complaints right now. "Very Low" still drowns out a lot of things. Hard to enjoy music. They need a true 0 to 10 scale for all settings in the game, not the ridiculous drop box settings they have.
I always have stuff on very low and it's still pretty loud, which is why I only listen to music when I don't need to be on vent.
um
i assume your speakers have a volume dial
if not let me know and ill point you towards the software version :P
My "volume dial" is less than 1/3rd of its full value when I play on my notebook. It's almost zero when I play on my desktop.

Besides, turning down volume on speakers also turns down the loudness of vent, so what's the point...?
I'm not ******ed you know. If I have say, winamp at full blast and the l2 music at "very low" they are about the same volume.

So if I have l2 music and sounds at "very low" its still so loud I have to crank vent/ts up to like 90% for people talking to be louder than "very low" in L2. That's not right. Obviously I can't crank my windows/volume on my headset up because that would just make l2 music that much louder in addition to vent.
/vent off
Strange lot. Missing out on all the lovely music !
I have a crafter and will turn the music off if I start another account and play that on the same pc but I wouldn't sit in front of the screen for 8 hours crafting. Thats an afk job !
As for the music, I think it enhances the game. Suddenly a bit of atmospheric music kicks in and it just completes the effect.
I have Quintessential media player at work on my pc and this plays ogg files :P
C4 and C5 ogg files seem to use a slightly different codec than C3 and earlier but I still have the old files and have been known to play them while at work lol.
Well since we are on the subject....
For some odd reason, my volume in L2 is "very low" and my volume on my computer (volume control in windows application) is set to ~1 to 3 % of max volume and L2 sounds are sometimes too loud...
Anyway to fix this?
Turning off the ingame music is the best volume option.

Turning off the ingame music is the best volume option.

And turn on Lineage Radio (http://lineage2.mmoradio.com/listen/) :D

Until they play Mr. Roboto, AGAIN!
