i havent played l2 in 2 years i come back the place is empty and everyone that plays are insanely high levels x_x its a shame lineage doesnt advertise, and also a shame they dont start merging servers.
you bring up a good point ..WHY DONT THEY ADVERTISE IN THE US ????????????????? WHY ????? this been buggin me alot?? i wanna see new players... i seen the commercials for korea .. but why not NA ?? for a company thats makes so much..but advertise so littlle ..or none at all is re-TArded.. i promise you NCSOFT..if you advertise Interlude or anything chronical for that matter ..you will see this game for some more years ..if not then you know what...or merge severs llike facesless said.....

There are many games to be played in Lineage 2. Ingame is just one of them. Out of game events are of course another one. Board flaming is merely another mini-game to be played if one were so inclined to do so.
there are alot of reasons they dont merge servers tho, castle control problems, Economy changes, Will put alot of people Out of money and make alot of random people rich, etc etc. alotof people would quit over it. but i was thinking, what if there was a server Link, where players from all servers could freely move to another server, however not be able to join clans or set up SELL shops. that way it would decrease the impact on the severs economy allow people to meet / party with other players. and also in the future slowly set up a merging of servers with as little impact to the servers economy.
E.G.
Kain Links to 2 servers (not all of them) so that way the Possible increased BUY shops would slowly change the economy. of all 3 servers linked. As the economy and player interaction is established. PVP is soon to follow. after that it would soon equalize the 3 Servers economy wise, player base wise. and clan power. allowing for a 3 server merge. Increasing players, increasing PvP castle sieges, raids. and has a small I AM QUITING, effect on players.
What do you all think?
P.S. We should encourage more players to post In the Kain forums. it might entice some new players to join Kain over the other places when they look at the forums... i mean.. look at our numbers.. they're horrid.
I have a lvl 44 SWS on Bartz, but my main is on Kain and I bounce back and forth depending on how bored I get on Kain seeing that ya kain is empty and harder to find a party. last time I was on bartz the prices of stuff wasn't so high either seeing the farmers are more in check than on kain. i think the biggest factor on kain is bots/farmers jacking up the prices on things, keeping people from being able to get the raid boss drops. then on the other hand the stuff is for sale at a price, some people don't care and some hate it so much they got to another server thus is why kain lacks in numbers and I think a server merge or the ability to move between them would be a great idea and help balence out that economy issue. maybe down the road..here's to wishful thinking
It looks to me like all the servers (excepting the Euro servers and Bartz) have been empty in comparison to six months ago. Did L2 lose a big portion of their player base recently? (Or was that just a bunch of bots that got kicked? :p )

Good question here, I mean WoW gets commercials and reviews left and right. I've never even seen Morgan Webb or Adam Sessler (the other one) do a review on Xplay. The game would be flooded with new people if they advertised on tv imho.
I met a few new players lately on my server. I decided to reroll in January and came to find Lionna's Dion have resemblence to early C3 times. I don't know how many more people were actually "fresh out of the shrinkwrap", but it was kinda nice to see that Dion was alive again for about a month or two. Of course its dead again because all of those raid bosses basically powerleveled everybody out of their 40's. :p

when L2 first was released on beta I heard thru a friend and when it did hit stores to buy there was a big cardboard standee shelf so when it did get released thats the only major advertisement I've seen of L2. Its Korean based so I've always thought thats the reason behind it. the game IS 3 years old and not widely heard of in the U.S. from the its release date to now. alot of people I used to play with quit and went to Guild wars,WOW and other mmorpgs because of bots,economy issues within the game,lousy admin resposes. I remember when you petitioned you ALWAYS got a live admin and I even had them in game invisiable to observe a situation. now its all auto messages about it being a PvP issue or it'll be investigated and 3 mos later that same bot party you reported is STILL around in high grade gear now and higher levels LOL. So I guess if your bored you train mobs on bot parties, watch em die, laugh and do it again when they come back till your bored again of coarse.
