Good AOE spot for 30's pole duo

The mobs we've been AOE'ing just turned blue and we're looking for a new good AOE spot for a pole duo. Catacombs/Necropoli are not an option for us this week. We've tried the Wastelants, the Ant Nest, and the area around the Moster Race Track but the xp wasn't good at all. The mobs just to the east of EG hit too hard for our little group. Any suggestions?

We both have highly OE'd Glaives, +5 Brig sets and full out-of-party Prophet/SE buffs.

the xp isn't going to be good if you're killing 1x hp mobs. ant nest is probly the best option right now, lots of mobs, and a pretty good respawn.

I like the place that used to be called Abandoned Camp, you know the place the Mayhum Captains :-)

Abandoned Camp is porbably getting bluish by now You can pull trains in Partisan's Hideaway(dont remember what it is called now, the Ol Mahum place by dion). It is decent, just have to find a good spot to pull to, and watch out for the archers.

You probably didnt find the right spot at Ant Nest. Some of the rooms is packed with mobs and is awesome exp.

What about orc barracks? People make fine trains out there.

And in ants nest there is one room near a small bridge where the entrance and exit is covered with crystals, and the respawn is so insane that a single person with full buffs and SS can barely get through before more spawn. I went there and before I was done with 1-2 more had respawned.

Orc Barracks would be a great spot actually. And Ants nest is good, just remember to bring Greater Antidotes.

I actually got a lot of low DG drops in Orc Barracks while hunting there out of curiosity...cheap crystals woot.

Not a fan of Ant's Nest myself.

I forgot about Orc Barraks actually, it is a really good place, and yeah, I also dont like Ants nest, poison is vicious at lower lvls...

We had been doing Partisan's Hideaway, pulling 20+ mobs at a time. I'll go check out the Orc Barracks tonight. It's been a VERY long time since I've hunted there. I'm sure it's been changed.

Not really, there are still camps with the higher level spawns and enough mobs around the camps to pull pretty big trains.

but if i remember right the archer or mages are agro there

Elders, Warlords and Skirmishers are aggro.

Plunderous Plains should work. The low end of Bandit Sweepers and Bandit hounds are all aggro. The archers there are social but not aggro I believe. (At least the lowest level ones...I think there are only two total archer mobs in the whole region.) There are some 40ish group type mobs a bit higher up near the Sky wagon as well. Eveything else is pretty much 1x hp though.


I would avoid the Ragna Orc mobs near the Den of Evil at all costs. Too many archers and mobs that split/summon some mage/archer reinforcements. Some mobs in this area use SS as well. There are some 1/2 HP mobs but I can't think of any decent spot where you could gather a decent number of them. Which is probably good as the Zombie mobs just LOVE to spam their Drain. Most of the mobs in this area are 40+ anyway.

Pavel Ruins and Frozen Labyrinth are good for pole once you get up into the higher 40's and on through the 50's.

After that your going to need to move out of the Schuttgart area.
