Sorry for my noobishness but i am new to Lineage II
Is it true that only dwarf character can create item from recipe?
I have a lot of recipes but whenever i double click on them I cannot register because i dont have ability to create item.
I desperately need your help
it realy depends on the Receipe.
Some specificly say Dwarven craft and surprise surprise they are for Dwarven use only and some say common craft and they are receipes that are common to all Races so anyone can craft.
I guess from the fact that they say can not be registered means.
A you are not a dwarf
B if you are a dwarf you are not a WarSmith/artisan
Crafting is a skill learned by dwarf fighters that follow the path of artisan->warsmith->maestro. Each reciepe has a description where it's level is stated. According to your level, you will be able to learn reciepes. For example, at level 20 (and after you changed profession to an artisan) there is a skill named: "create item level 2". When you take this skill, you will be able to learn reciepes of the second level. In general, as nameless1 stated, up to C-grade, it is not money efficent to craft weapons or armor (with exception some items that close an armor set). More usefull is to learn the reciepes for the basic materials (braided hemp, steel, cbp, etc.) as well as the reciepes for shots (ss and bsps). This way you can either craft shots and sell, or setup a craft shop for other players to craft themselves. Beyond C-grade, you will learn what is of value and worth crafting.
Thank you all very much. I am not dwarf but human. My recipes state they are for dwarf only. But I myself think that if only dwarf can craft item then what the hell other races do with the recipes they have while hunting?
well at your lvl you just sell them to shops
at slightly higher you sell them to other classes
there is a thing call "private craft" most dwarf crafters hate the thing but putting that aside for now
you can use private craft and for a small fee you can create the item
at low lvls in order to craft all that is needed is that the dwarf has the recipie registered and you have all the mats
at higher lvls (B grade and above) the dwarf must have the recipie registered and you need another one in inventory as well as the mats
when you craft you lose your recipie and mats and you get the item (or get nothing if the craft fails)
Just sell the item (armor/weapon) recipes you get below 20 - but save EVERY material recipe you get (such as recipe: braided hemp, steel, leather etc). between level 20 and 40 save recipes for set completers (such as brigadine helmet, elven mithril gloves - you'll find out when you get there).
All players can use "Common Craft" recipes. These are all bright Neon Greenish. They allow you to craft potions, accessories, Higher level fish parts and some other consumables. You only get these from fishing (Fish oils), Clan Halls and from the Fishing NPC.
All other recipes are "usable" by Dwarves only. All Dwarves can use L1 Recipes. But only Artisans/Warsmiths/Maestros can use recipes above L1. The one loophole here, is for crafts that consume a recipe (B grade and higher) you can "use" one of those recipes with a Dwarven Craft shop to make something even though you cannot craft yourself.
As for the recipes you see:
White = No Grade recipes.
Blue = D grade recipes.
Olive Drab Green = C grade recipes.
Red = B grade recipes.
Purple = A Grade recipes.
Black = S grade recipes.
For NG recipes the only ones worth selling are the base material ones. Everything else can be NPC'd.
For D grade, SS/SpS recipes are sellable. Eveything else except a few top D armor/jewelry recipes are NPC bait.
For C grade, SS/SpS are sellable, weapons recipes are mostly useless due to Mammon. And most the armor recipes due to the Luxury shop. Top Armor or Jewelry is useful but not terribly uncommon. Some low C armor recipes are worth a bit due to their rarity to vanity collectors or just plain off-armor users, but this isn't a high volume or demand market.
For B grade and higher you can pretty much sell everything to players. Prices will be wildly different, but even the lowest demand stuff can sell for the right price.
All players can use "Common Craft" recipes. These are all bright Neon Greenish. They allow you to craft potions, accessories, Higher level fish parts and some other consumables. You only get these from fishing (Fish oils), Clan Halls and from the Fishing NPC.
recipes for elixir aren't green .... they follow the same color rule as the dwarven recipe ;)
White = No Grade recipes = clvl 1
Blue = D grade recipes = clvl 2/3/4
Olive Drab Green = C grade recipes = clvl 4/5/6
Red = B grade recipes = clvl 6/7
Purple = A Grade recipes = clvl 7/8
Black = S grade recipes = clvl 9
