Quick Tat & Armor question

Not for me but anyway.

Clannie is subbing as a dagger.

Whats the best armor and tats upto and inc A Grade. Oooo weapon choice too while I'm asking.

Thanks all :D
Following my personal taste =

CG Mithril/Crystal Dagger w/CD
BG Zubei/Kris w/Focus
AG DC Light Soul Seperator w/CD

+5 DEX -3 CON -2 STR
I'd think that
C Grade: Plated Leather and a Dark Screamer w/ Focus
B Grade: keep Plated Leather or if the P. Def is scaring you, Doom Light would work, and get a Kris w/ Focus
A Grade: Dark Crystal Light and a Bloody Orchid w/ Focus.

Tats for PvP? or PvE? In PvE, will you have buffs? Please answer that first before I can give Tattoo suggestions.
I really don't get it why people insist on Focus SA when you can reach the cap of Crit Rate so fast in this game with buffs.
Because most of those people that insist on Focus weapons don't have the buffs that give them 500 Critical. And besides, critting more often will be better than doing more damage with a crit that appears less.

I understand and completely follow the first part but I disagree the 2nd part you mention.
You also know that daggers, because of their very fast attack speed crit a LOT...so the extra damage from Critical Damage SA is by far not to be underestimated.

But ok, I have always been a bit weird in my choices and set-ups.
I just checked on l2calc, the only way to get 500 Critical with a TH is to have CoV, Blessing of Queen3, Focus3, Hunter and a Focus Dagger. If not, you'll end up at 437ish.

Interesting, still at crit rate of for example 350-400 I'd pick damage over extra crit rate.

Focus and crit. damage are both good dagger SAs. Question is, PW, TH or AW? Buffed or unbuffed? PvP or PvE?

And as for c-grade, Dark Screamer > Crystal Dagger, because there are lots of ++++homus on the market (+8 DS > +3 CD :o)

It's actually for me.
I have an SE (soon to have VR3) for buffs and CH in Rune. I intend to PVP as a TH but don't want to suck at PvE whilst lvling (I would be quite happy having PvE Tats untill low 60's then change setup for PVP).....
PvE: +5STR +4DEX /-9CON
PvP: You'll have to ask someone else, I don't know that much about tats for a Dagger, I'd assume +5DEX -STR and/or -CON.
what I did.

C. Plated leather set +4, Crystal dagger +12 CD
B. Plated leather set +4, kris +10 Focus
A. DC light +4, Soul sep +8 CD

I guess you could use Doom light at Bgrade, but your damage would go down a lot. btw Plated leather set is pretty bad for PvP. If you go Focus or Crittical damage is all up to you. I guess focus is better, but CD is a lot of fun, I love those hard critts/specials :) i guess i would pick Focus if Im always poor buffed, and CD if I always have good buffs.

PvE tats: +5str +4 dex -9 con
PvP (at lvl 70++) +5 dex +4 con -9 str

with those PvP tatos your days of soloing(PvE) is pretty much over, only groups for you :/
