is there any role player in this game today ? or everybody look for a strong team? because when i see the movie from Nc waw it's still "a dream".
my second point is about the Hero in the chronicle, i woudlike to know what is the real job of the Hero in these chronicle?
cant say much about role play but i know there are a few out there
problem is L2 is a highly competitive game so if you do chose to rp make sure that rp involves lots of killing mobs and plenty of hunting wartags
heroes dont really do much
as for support we have 1 single alliance buff that boosts pattack and pdef and 2 awesome debuffs
the rest of the skills are centered around the hero themselves so you are either a 1 man army or a support toon depending on how you want to play it

warring an RP clan is like trying to stomp on a cockroach. youll accomplish nothing.
There are a bunch on Lionna, 1 actually owns a castle I think.

Today this game turn arround teh "statictic", ppl are so smart today they take all the classe to be the stronger of the server so we can see party like WC+BD+SWS+SE and full DD with SA focus of critical damage on their weapon+++.It would be nice to put some constraint in the game then make real role for all the player, ( for exemple Dark elf cant receiv light elf buff or something like that)because today with a Se and pp in dualbox it's very easy to lvl easy. make some constraint in the game to make some fun. I know that everybody dream to see in this game a day 2 clan of dark and light race pvp in a battlefield ^^.

You would have njoyed the neutral zone wars we have had...Light elf vDark elf. They were alot more common in Open Beta, and were alot of fun.
as for roll players they are a rare breed in this game, the mechanics just dont lend themselfs well to it imo
Yes you're right (except for "roll", it's "role" players :p)...
But, to me, roleplaying is not something that you decide to do for a moment and then decide to not do anymore !
I always kinda roleplay, even when i kill Lizardmen and they say to me "we'll get you", i always have a word for them like "who's getting who now ?"... Or, i rarely kill Ol'Mahum because they always say "why are you killing us ? we didnt do anything to you", and as a matter of fact they're right, so i pretty much leave them alone :)
What i mean is, you dont have to say "ok now i'm gonna roleplay for 17 minutes", the game is (imo) much more fun if you're into your character !
As for Clans, we obviously have a pretty cool RP Clan on Lionna ("Echoes Of Darkness"), dont hesitate to check us out !
Even though I knew better, when I was playing my up and coming paladin and an orc warlord shouted "I give up!" and ran away, I didn't chase him. I let him go.
Of course, as soon as he came back with a small army...

if you read the story behind the game there is already this type of thing in place.
its more complicated than you think but every good roleplayer knows and understand each side of each race's role in the war in aden.

Sadly, only really talented and gifted L2 players are able to role-play.
It's a shame really.
I don't know WHY this is, it just is. All the really, really good players RP. Everyone else just hangs out at the arena at MDT talking about their uberness and pwning......
.........although.............recently I understand a number of heroes HAVE begun regular RPing. I think I may even have a screen shot or two................
Forced RP should ne nice anyway i think, because i heard many player who are bored on their server, cause they look for fun, they want do something interesting...interesting like pvp (not like boring quest, where u must kill 500 mobs about :confused:). Most of the hight lvl aer strong.....they pwnd in pvp...they massacre ppl...they are invincible...rich, so they dont want change the style of the game ,they want stay the pwner of the server :mad:. like i said put constraint in the game (betewn the race)to creat funny even. atm i think that there is like 10% of RP player in the L2 server. i have make very good pvp in test server....the battles were done by giving each other appointments :D it's was very nice, and if ur nt agree with what i said it's cause u never did a good L2 RP even.
That doesn't sound very fun to me. Some of us just aren't interested in RP (or to be the uber pwnerer for that matter).
Maybe they should make servers for forced RP, but I doubt they would be very crowded. Most RPers I see share their opinion on this, seem to be content with the current rules.
A forced RP server would be rather empty, there simply arent enough that would go for it. Also, the regulation of said server would be lackluster at best, given the current availability of gm's as it is.
Forcing people to RolePlay is like, i dont know, forcing them to have fun, it's not something you can force on people...
We already have Lionna which is kinda the unofficial RP server, i think that's a good enough thing !
Role playing is just one avenue or aspect of L2. Just as 'owning a castle'...or having or being part of a dominant clan would be...or figuring out how to earn 50 million adena on your own....or just leveling and learning to play your toon really well.
One of the great features of L2 imo is that the game architecture is open and allows all kinds of players with all kinds of different interests to define their own goals and styles.
If you're interested in role playing then actively seek out those who do that.
