Where did that one come from may I ask?
I do like watching the odd game of Ice Hockey but only if it ends up in a mass brawl. It's the fighting that makes it all worth while. Also kudos to the goal keeper for having the ****** to try and stop that flying puck ^^
Well, they are very good at it. However, enough of their players have come to the US that the top teams right now are: Buffalo, Detroit, Nashville, Anaheim, New Jersey...
Watching NASCAR is about as fun as getting your stomach pumped. Hockey is awesome, though. I'm kinda torn between the Red Wings and the Dallas Stars. I'd be able to follow the rest of the league more easily if the NHL would set up its own television network the way the NFL did.
I dunno, they probably have something like that in Canada.
I could never get it (Look everyone! Let's go 200mph and turn left for 4 hours!), but I've become accustomed to having it on in the background while I do whatever I do now.
As for hockey, I used to play in a hockey league until I blew my knee out. It was awesome.
On the NASCAR thing: What could be more fun than watching cars drive in a circle for 3 hours you ask? That easy, getting completely wasted and THEN watching cars drive around in a circle for 3 hours.

It's just not fun unless you're all totally smashed.

Pff, sissy. Steve Y. had how many knee surgeries? I lost count after 10 and the one where they seperated his entire knee. So I guess I really lost count after 11....

Then waiting and betting on when the next major collission is going to happen.
You people are obviously confused about what happens in the stands at hockey games...
Getting drunk and watching hockey is ALOT different from getting drunk and watcing NASCAR(I know, I live near a raceway that has 2 nascar events a year, and I go to both. I also have partial season tickets to the local NHL team.)
there was a comercial with Michael Andretti where he was showing someone around town and kept telling them to turn left. The guy asked if they should turn right and he said"Right, why would you need to turn right?" I rofled. (Michael Andretti is son of Mario Andretti, both are rather famous Indy Car/F1 racers, although not so much F1).
I'm from southern England and really love Nascar and Cart. The trouble is the tv companies over here have decided to either show it delayed or on some obscure ppv channel.
I used to follow Bobby Labonte in his 18.
I'm so out of touch with it now as I've missed over a season.
People say ovals are boring but frankly they haven't got a clue.
