The Lineage II Wallpaper Contest is back! Design a beautiful or eye-catching desktop wallpaper to be featured on the official Lineage® II site for your chance to win some great prizes. This is your chance to win rare, unique jewelry specially created for Lineage® II players worldwide, so send us your best creation!

You can use the following to create your own unique wallpaper:

Submission Guidelines

One wallpaper entry ONLY per person will be accepted. Please make sure the file format is RGB jpgs (non-.jpg formats will not be considered). All entries must be submitted in the following screen resolutions and be 72 dpi:

<ul type="square"> 1600 x 1200 pixels 1280 x 960 pixels 1024 x 768 pixels 800 x 600 pixels
Tip: Create your 1600 x 1200 sized version first, and then decrease the file size down to the other three required sizes, adjusting your art elements accordingly.

All submissions will be judged on creativity, difficulty, and overall presentation.

Copyrighted Materials

PLEASE NOTE: Lineage® II images (that NCsoft® owns) are available for your use. However, you may NOT use any materials that you (or NCsoft®) do not own the rights to for the purposes of this contest. Likewise, taking an image from something that you (or NCsoft®) do not own and altering it slightly then presenting it as your own work is strictly prohibited. You (or NCsoft®) must have ownership rights to every element included in the entry you submit. You must make sure your entry doesn’t infringe on any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, or any privacy, publicity or publishing rights of any third party, or is not libelous, obscene or otherwise contrary to law.

Where can I get the full image you used as a background for the event? The one with the Female AW leaping over the Male HE, slicing the feathers off his arrows. I bet the full image is really nice.

Is there a particular reason that you are not using the new widescreen (16:9) resolutions? A lot of gamers have moved on to widescreen monitors and laptops, and old 4:3 resolution wallpapers just do not look right.

I think you got that backwards a bit..... "16:9 and 4:3" is aspect ratio not resolution. And with all the different sized widescreen lcds on the market. It would be hard to have just one sized resolution for all of them.

But i still like the idea of a section of wallpapers just for widescreen lcds.

Wasn't the idea to use Tatteosian jewel name to help promote the real product ingame? So maybe the jewelry is out there and they modeled game items after the real thing. I'd look it up but I'm too lazy.

If you accidentally sent in the wrong version of the wallpaper, I usually let that slide and accept the final version as the entry. But we don't really allow sending in multiple revisions -- that's why I try to give a few weeks to work on contest entries so you have time to get it just right before sending in!

I wouldn't mind joining... but what would the art team actually do? I already mod at L2blah... so I hope this has nothing to do with community interaction (If you've been there recently, you'd know where the stigma comes from). Between the game, vent, this forum, and blah... I pretty much take all I can handle. And barely I might add.
