warlord armour? ^^

hi there, i am looking for more opinions on what armour to put on a warlord ...

myself i was thinking either tallum or nm heavy, tallum because it gives more patk and atk speed, but maybe nightmare because of sleep/trance resist, and the addition to +2 con, but i am very hesitant to go tallum because it also gives the -2 con nerf, which i seriously want to avoid

recently, many people have been saying majestic would be a good choice, since it gives 50% stun resist (of which wl has a lot of anyway), and p.atk (from +4% and +2 str), also it gives accuracy which a pole user would really feel the benefit from, and is the top pdef armour like nightmare is,

however the main concern for me is the -con losses from these armours, as i plan to go +con -str for endgame, and nerfing the CON of a warlord is very noticable due to him having the highest hp of the humans, if an armour is to give me -2 con, it will drastically affect my hp as i get to higher levels, we are talking thousands of hp and cp, just for that extra stun resist and 50 p atk, is it really worth that much?

with a warlords pdef, a few thousand hp is another 15 seconds in combat, and i am very doubtfull if the 50 patk is superior to this loss, as it is one of the warlords strong points, many hp, i myself am seriously leaning towards getting nightmare heavy, even though i wont have the shield, the trance bonus (for which i WILL be pvp'ing in), and +con make it so much more suitable for my type of style,

imo, trying to give +str to a warlord is like trying to go +con on an abyss walker, it just doesnt work at all, so i am just asking for what armour you might choose, and a brief explanation as to why please,

the main reason i ask this is because i am never purely pve, and need an armour thats good all around really,

thanks all
I would look further into the tallum heavy, the attack speed bonus wil keep you alive longer than the +con(assuming you have vr). Try stacking this with a halbred w/ haste SA and thrill fight and I have seen warlords with 700+ atkspeed. It can be rather nuts.
yeah but the prob is i dont have enough money to buy another A wep, i already have a tallum glaive and am planning to get health onto it, i feel a HP build is more useful to me than a DD build ....

and thrill fight slows you down so much, i dont bother to use it, its impossible to train with that crap on

i am also not keen on lowering patk and pdef so i can kill mobs a few secs faster on PvE,
i wouldnt worry about playing with your stats i was talking alot with Trystant our servers level 80 WL while i was trying to decide what tats to take off my dwarf

he has 0 tats as after trying them they were not worth the loss of HP for the dammage gained, most WLs i meet have no tats but go for Maj for the p.def and attack bonuses
NM would suck just because of the -run speed
NM sucks for you, why? because you need a shield to get the maximal bonus from it.

Just a claricication as well, more damage save you mostly more often then more HP, why?

More damage = Less time being hitt = less HP used.
More HP ( with less damage ) = More time being hit = More HP used up.

And adding pots in to the equalation, More damage just beat the heck out of more HP.

I would say Tallum is your best choice, as you can spam your skills quite a bit faster, second best option is Majestic mainly for stun resist, the other A grade armors is NOT for you.
yes.. and if i get slept or rooted?? i am useless, +70% is a LOT of resistance to this, with mental shield and maybe war frenzy aswell, also, reflecting 5% damage isn't that much of a deal .. it also has better pdef than tallum

NM would suck just because of the -run speed

easily fixable
not many area's Root if they do u really shouldn't be training it.

If ur slept u get whacked anyways and immediatly woken up.

Im totally a +str and + dex - 11 con warlord. Works great for me. that +2 str and +4% p atk works out to be about +12% p atk, thats +12% vr affect.

If you are planning to pull massive trains for a large groups +con is worth it. Besides that I suggest either no tats or + dmg tats

personally I like maj better for the extra p def but tallum works well too
im not talking about just pve, this is for pvp aswell
no offense but a WL in pvp currently is sort of a joke. the only spot where they shine is on seiges in the throne room. And there the extra hp won't really matter.

Now interlude they might be good but thats still far way.

WL is known as the pve class.
Even for PvP the attack speed will maximize what you can do. The extra hp wont do much for you, since as soon as people realize what you are they will kill you. But with the most atk sped you can et off more skills(wrath, stun, etc) before you die. You arent going to kill anyone in pvp(maybe 1v1, but thats pointless until olympiad) A warlord goes into a group of people and disrupts them as much as possible, dies, then does it again.

yes i know wl suck at pvp :P i am talking more on the "i want to survive as long as possible" side of things, if i am rooted and a bd is [Censored], i wont last long, however if i have lots of resistance and can run around stunning people, then i think thats a lot more helpful even if i am not specifically doing 1 vs 1

(btw i heard wl [Censored] at 78 with ranged aoe stun/hex/gloom? ^^)

EDIT: Ok am i allowed to say "kick my bum bum" ??
if you're rooted, a bd should be well within your range of attack. +str all the way unless you're doing crazy huge trains.
Good luck ever using revival if you hardly have 1K HP :)

WL are still able to beat knights, most healers who don't run away, and some other warriors.

I think being a big meat shield is a good thing and should not be nerfed. Then again it will depend of the particular role you're playing at one given time. +STR will be good in AOE when you're not the puller/tank. If you're the puller/tank you might need +CON, especially if you don't have VR.

Back to the nature of warriors, it seems their main stat is STR, then CON, then DEX.
I was first going for Doom heavy cause I wanted to tank well, and I partied a lot with a bishop (restore life).
Then I wanted to try BW and I like it, I feel more like playing my role in BW, that is to say bashing mobs hard. Since I like all my stats I don't plan to use any tattoo.

To the OP, I really don't think NM heavy is good for WL. Maybe light would be interesting to try.
Looking at the stats, Maj seems to be the perfect set, and if you care so much about your HP you could just add a +CON tattoo.
I have a WL friend who had better pvp results in Tallum than Maj, but I don't really know why.
I wish I could paint Maj with another color, in the meantime I'll keep my blue transformer suit, which doesn't look so bad except it gives me a big rear... SORRY, off topic :)
i went maj heavy. because of the +50% stun resist. having that and the war frenzy i only get stunned like 3 times per train. and you have to think, that in the catas and necros, 60+ there is always someting that stuns. so you'll want as much resistance to that as possible. as for pvp...you'll basically be doing pvp in the catas, and sieging (mostly), so really you won't need run speed.
as for tats... i was having the same issue on which to adjust, but i am finding that not having any at all is working great.
seeing how this week on siegehardt dusk has won, i'm doing open field aoe, and i have a "runner" for me, cause it's just to far for me to run around with crappy run speed, i just take too much damage before i get back to the "wall".
but i have been told, for pvp it's +con, and for pve it's +str and +dex...
so you basically need to sets of tats for them, that's why i'm not getting any tats.
