Hi, newbie here trying to decide on which race to begin with.
Well, i checked the official L2 site, the skills section.
Apperantly, at lv 58, Orc Destroyers gain an ability called ;
''Infernal Form''. NATURALLY, its gotta grant you some bonuses.
WHAT i am WONDERING IS; Does it CHANGE the OUTLOOK of your character IN ANY WAY ?? (any visual changes on your character while the skill is active/activated?)
Because the skill is called; Infernal *FORM*.
So, maybe the player character gets little sparks of fire (visible) across his body, or something else visually happens when the ''Infernal Form'' skill is on ??
And/or does the orcs have other skills that make em look a'lil more fierce??
****, BUt your answer's been right on the spot! :cool:

Does the orc fighters (and up) get any cool looking skills, at all, than ?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PS, sure, i can play the game to find out for myself, but that would take toooooo long, coz i dont think you would be getting any of em uber-looking skills (if any) anywhere near the beginning of the game...
yes. actually though the only skill that really looks cool on an orc is zealot. with it active you are a green swordswinging blur. no real animation to it, but its the coolest ever. btw its cooler on a tyrant thats built for high attack speed to begin with.
if youre looking for skill animations that are cool looking at actually useful, and orcish, try a warcrier/overlord. buffing an army all at once is quite exhillarating.
Infernal Form is an almost useless skill, although it looks cool for about 1 - 2 secs when you activate it. Orc Destroyers and Tyrants get some cool damage skills, although many of the Destroyer's best skills can only be activate at 30% HP (which at level 60 is about 2,000 HP). I'm not as familiar with Tyrants, as I don't play one, but they are insanely fast in attack speed. Orc mystics do look cool every 20 mins when they apply their buffs. But they are not for most people to play - I'll explain why if you're interesting in pursuing this, or you can just do a search in the forums.
Infernal Form is quite usefull, not so much for PVE, but for PVP aka 30% resist fire.
It's also somewhat usefull in PVE thought, but you need to be 65 or so for that to happen, the best HP/XP mobs in game is in an area with a ton of undead and fire weak mobs :) can't get better.
Hmm, i really was looking for a heavy armor toting flashy warrior/knight, so maybe i should head the way of Dark elves,,, ALTHOUGh me thinks their ARMOR looks very,,, err,,,, hmm,, rr,,, weak,,,and UNcool, EXcept the ones with em little wings on their back, than they look cool. :)
too bad that orc melee class aint gettin' much in the way of flashy tecniques, but i guess that aint teir style.
Orcs are about power, not flash. And where exactly is this great place for PvE at 65+?
Proably talking about Forest of the Dead. Although you will probably hav to fight for a spot during peak hours.... and I find aoeing in cats as better xp with a destroyer.
Hmm, so can anybody tell me some of the ''cool'ISH'' looking orc skills, please.?
By that i mean skills belonging to any one of the following;
-Orc Fighters
-raiders
-destroyers
and;
-titans.
Anything goes; for example, i've been told that zealot is kinda cool, but what else?
Maybe whirlwind skill looks sorta cool ?
or maybe ''Hammer Crush'' makes the ground under your feet trumble with the fierce force of the orcs,,, or perhaps crush of doom causes a similar effect ?
Or maybe war frenzy makes you look angrier/cooler,,,,not.
I DID create an orc character, but when you begin the game (naturally) you dont start with lotsa skills, and even than, as the casual gamer i am (got no other choice) i wouldnt reach higher levels in a month yet,,LOL, YEArs...
Sting from a DE
Stun shot on a dwarf
Poison Cloud on a BD
Elemental symphony on nukers
TSS on Gladiators
Bandage on Bounty Hunters
Backstab from a Treasure Hunter
You don't play an Orc so much to have skills that look cool. You play an Orc for the enjoyment of raw power. As a Destroyer, at higher levels you can destroy a room of tough mobs (like a room in the Catacombs) with not much more help than a good set of buffs. As a mystic, you are either the best buffs for a party (Warcryer), or capable of buffing an entire clan or alliance and essential to mass PvP (Overlord). As a Tyrant, you are similiar to a Gladiator, and a fast, tough melee DD. Frankly, my impression at level 60 on a Destroyer and Warcryer, is that the real rewards of playing an Orc are at the high levels, especially for the mystics, but also for the fighters. So, to play an Orc, you have to keep your eye on the long-term rewards. They are not like playing nukers and Archers, who zip through to level 60 and beyond. (For that matter, from what I've read, even at high levels, Overlords are often a lonely road outside of seiges and such.) Anyway, if you want form, that's OK, but an Orc is probably not what you should play. In that case, Orvieta has given some good pointers on which classes have cool form.
i find the tyrants fist smacking skills are very cool. blaster makes you backflip-frontflip, iron punch gathers flame, all sorts of neat animations.
then again i find sorcs have the best nuke animation, AW have wickedcool stabs (just looks better on aw than elf or human to me) and ya cant beat the DA damage shield animation.
