I've been around some of the servers already.. Gustin, Kain, Sieghardt, Franz.
What i'm looking for is a server with the most part of the community playing by the eula and not being liberal to others who don't. That's "all".
This is the last chance i give this game after beeing around about 2 years and getting dissapointed every time i see the whole picture >.<
Please recommend servers from the ones remaining if the description matches somewhat.
I dont care about siege times and all that.. Just about beeing somewhat in the same boat.
Call me pesamistic but you would be hard pushed to find what you are looking for. In my own general observations, people at the top of the food chain ingame have usually got a push up there by some means or another.
You have to learn to live with it or quit game. I'm lvl 75 and I know that each and every level I have gained was done by me and me only with no help from illegit means.
At the end of the day it's a game and what would be the point in "playing" if it was to cheat. As long as you meet a bunch of guys with the same outlook ingame you will get along just fine.
Surely it depends what crowd you associate with.
I play Hindemith mainly and the people I talk to all seem honest and legit.
I daresay there are scumbags about but sod them, I play to enjoy the game my way. If some idiot pays to play a game and then cheats, hes the idiot, but he's not going to stop me enjoying a great game.
I get peeed off with bots but I have even used them to my advantage when they drop spoils etc or even lure mob from me when I'm in danger.
There are scum in all walks of life and online games attract them too. Just look at Legend of Mir for scum.
actually i dont think they will get away with it forever; recently i reported a very crazy website to the support staff due to its blatant advertising of game breaking hacks such as invincibility, infinite buff time, soloing raid bosses, +20 enchantment without using a scroll among many other things. selling this ****-pack for 15 bucks US.
i reported it 1 month ago and withing 3 weeks the site and any trace of the ****-pack has evaporated.
i also noticed a lot less "people" in the game i used to play with.

I play to have fun. Except for when farmers/bots grow so numerous I can't get a hunting spot, I ignore such things and have fun with my friends. FYI, I found cheating in playing FPS games on-line, now I find it's in MMORPGS, I've been told that it's in all on-line games, and I believe it. I am happier so far in this game because it's big enough that I can have fun anyway.
thats basically the bucket im in now. 5 person clan, and at least one of them has his chat filter off. i make it pretty clear that if i suspect someone ill simply report them, clannie or not. it doesnt seem to be a very good recruitment tactic.
If you don't mind playing all by your self, there is one server that is bot free.
That would be the PTS, of course your character can be wiped at anytime and a whole lot of people invaded the server from time to time. Some of whom cheat, but they leave once they are done testing expansions.

Sorry to hear you haven't found what you're looking for yet, Venaja. You and I started back on retail about the same time, and you've obviously traveled around the servers a lot more than I have.
I started on Sieg and have stayed there so far. From what I've read here in the forums and seen for myself, all of the servers are about the same as far as automated guests and a certain amount of "cheating", so to speak.
I just try to play my game as best I can, and what others do, that's their business, unless it interferes with how I play, then it's an issue. Most of my time is spent solo, as I work odd hours and just jump on when I can. Lately I've been playing alts to generate money doing the repeatable quests and working the Manor system for my main. Yes, sometimes it's hard to elbow the "others" out of the way for the quests, especially in DE, but so far, I've been able to turn decent profit and I almost have enough adena to upgrade my C grade stuff. It's a long grind, but hey, I do this for the fun and it has been a great stress reliever for me. GL in your search for a "home".
And if any of you guys run into Venaja in game, he's a great guy! Invite him along if you have room in your parties!

Franz was the last in order.. even managed to get a BoP this time before i ran away ^_^
I have some friends who follows me around and they have to start all over too when i do this. Makes me feel abit guilty >.<

There is a 'good versus evil' fight in L2 on many levels. Some are part of the game mechanics. But the most interesting is the honest players versus the cheaters and that contest takes place on all servers. You cannot avoid it, it is the 'real life' player characteristics manifest into the game world...and it is fascinating.
