I just saw this movie tonight.

Let me tell you I was very disappointed.

It's a tragicty very similar in the way that "My Girl" was.

There is very lil in way of special effects, and story line wasn't that great.

Even tho it has a rating of PG, it's more of something that I'd truly wouldn't take any one under 12 to.

It was pretty boring, and took quite a long time for the story to develop. once it did develop, it moved along, but still remained boring most of the way tho, then the tragity hit...and not long after that the movie just kind of died down, then ended.

No real adventure, no Subplot ending, no moral. I was very disappointed, And I hope that you all save your money and wait till video.

If you do go see it, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't I'd completely would understand why you didn't. This story is nothing in the way of most "fantasy" stories are now.

I give it a D+(2 1/2 stars): Because I loved Lesly.

That is because the movie they made has nothing to do with the book.

I've been told that, in the book, the part where they go to Taribithea is only 9 pages long.

They essentially tried to make a different movie. The book is not about this magical land but the relationship between the siblings.
Are you saying this is a chick flick?
If it requires a Kleenex at ANY point in time, yes, its a chick-flick.

I do NOT recommend this movie to anyone actually. I went, I saw, I cried like a baby.

LIES!!!

Men are allow, nay, excepted to cry during Brian's Song and Old Yeller.
I've read the book, didn't like the book, and saw the previews. Chose not to go see the movie. I kinda wish I never saw the Eragon movie. What a waste of a Sunday afternoon.

Are you kidding me.

I liked Eragon. My only issues was that it was two short!

The last released Harry potter was 2 1/2 hours long. alot of movies have become that way, if you truly want to tell your story you can't cut it short. and even then there was still parts for Harry potter left out.

And there is nothing wrong with a guy crying at a movie, So why don't you leave your macho B/S someplace else SirE.

And plz don't tell me you never cried in "love story" when jenny died... cause then I'd know your really a lier!

You need to read more and watch less. Try again with what I wrote.
I didn't like ther Eragon movie because I was expectiong much more. I was also expecting it to actually follow the plot from the book. Maybe I had too high of expectations.
i concur; i was greatly disappointed by eragon. thank you also to SirE for reminding the men in the room that sometimes it is okay to cry.

Shane does that to me as well. Don't tell anyone. :o

Don't forget the greatest tear jerker around.....

Disney's bambi
I cried when Buffy died
... but then she was brought back to life by Willow :D

Hence the need to sell urinary catheters next to the popcorn and colas. Or movies should come with a 10 minute intermission.
You can't hold it for 2 or 3 hours?
