Below is a list of all the basic buffs in the game. It is a collective list of Prophet(PP), Shillen Elder(SE) and Elven Elder(EE) buffs. Orc Warcriers(WC) and Overlords(OL) have some of the same buffs with different names however they do not stack with thier equivalent on this list. If you find yourself grouped with either of these classes, you will need to come to an understanding of how to split the buffs up. Since Warciers buffs affect the whole party and Overlords entire clans/alliances, the more they can contribute the easier and more efficient the group will be.

Greater Might
Vampiric Rage (Mele Only)
Berserker Spirit (Ask First. Tanks don't generally want it. It's a taboo worthy of compromise.)
*The Tank: is the one that is supposed to be taking the damage. Most tanks will be wearing a shield. Generally you will give the tank all of the figher buffs (except Berserker Spirit) plus the following:
Bless Shield
Regeneration
Bless the Body
Advanced Block
*Situational buffs: are those that you don't need to cast all the time. If you are unsure of the area then see if someone else knows what buffs are needed. You can quickly adjust once you're engaged in combat though if you pay attention.
Invigor - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs in the area cast Bleed
Mental Shield - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs cast Root or Sleep
Resists (Fire, Wind, Aqua, Poison, Shock) - - - When mobs cast a specific element type
Holy Resistance - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs cast Sacred attacks
Unholy Resistance - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs cast Dark attacks
Magic Barrier - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs are casting any type of offensive magic spell
Decrease Weight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EE only buff depends on party\situation
Kiss of Eva - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When about to swim for a long length of time. i.e. Garden of Eva, Devils Isle, racing the TI boat ;)
Agility - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Great for evasion classes (Tyrant, Daggers, Archers) EE only buff
Holy Weapon - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When mobs are Undead. Use in Catacombs, Necropolis', Dragon Valley, etc.
*Greater Might vs. Greater Shield:
At 58 the Prophet gets these two buffs. They stack with the lesser version, however only one of them can be used per player. So a figher will want Greater Might, but the tank might want Greater Shield. If the tank has trouble keeping aggro he may want Greater Might. He cannot have both at the same time though so play it however your party sees fit.

Chant of Fire // Glory of Pa'agrio // Magic Barrier
Chant of Shielding // Blessings of Pa'agrio // Shield

If you find yourself in a group with a summoner, they can buff their own pets with some selective buffs. I haven't had the luxury of grouping with one, and you may need to ask and remember what buffs they want for themselves and pet.
Let me know If I'm off on anything here. I'm not very experienced with the Orc mystic branch. I know I left out alot of 75+ buffs and didnt really tap into some of the other classes that get very few selective buffs. Maybe I'll add those later on.
This is intended to help out newer buffers who may not know what to give who at what and a look into the buffs you don't give all the time.
Add to it if you have anything else including strategys or tips that could potentially help those that don't know.
Thanks for the corrections, I changed it accodringly.
I was trying to keep from separating into common buffs, and other types to keep it as simple as possible. There are very few instances where Bless the Body is really that necessary for anyone other than the tank anyways. Thanks again for you input though :)
Edit: Just curiosity, are there mages that don't want to be buffed with Berserker Spirit? I would think you would like to have it.

In my experience, yes, most of the time.
Acumen 1/2/3 is 15/23/30% casting speed bonus
Empower 1/2/3 is 55/65/75% matk bonus
Zerk 2 is +16% matk / +8% casting speed (plus the other stuff)
So basically having all three buffs is like having acumen 4 / empower 4. Mages like it a lot, if the area you are in allows you to avoid aggro. -16% mdef and -8% pdef hurts a bit, though, when somebody attacks you :(
If you could add these , i find that buffers often don't know what a summoner can do and for a prophet especially it's nice when they don't have to waste mp.
PP= prophet, WK= warlock

There are? I cant think of a situation where I want to miss my btb.
Bless the Body 1 HP +10%
Bless the Body 2 HP +15%
Bless the Body 3 HP +20%
Bless the Body 4 HP +25%
Bless the Body 5 HP +30%
Bless the Body 6 HP +35%
I my case it means a difference of 1053HP (I got -con dye, else it would be more). No matter if PvP or PvE, this one is important.

Yes, there are. Like I said, it depens on the situation and the class.
The 10 buffs (3 common, 7 Fighter/7 Mystic) I listed are just a base idea of what buffs apply in mostly every situation. Sometimes, when buffslots are rare, some of them can be droped (in AoE groups maybe just the puller need ww for example).
Thank you all for your corrections. I edited the OP with the changes. I'm still fairly low level, so I haven't had any experience with the Prophesy Buffs. The description is confusing to me. Maybe someone could tell me what they do and the difference between the different elements.
And no i'm not separating the buffs into any more subgroups. The Idea is to keep it as simple as possible. Too many rules can frustrate any new players. The Idea to make this list comes from seeing new buffers who do not know what to give and end up buffing useless buffs and possibly miss some more critical ones.
I know a WC's buffs are the best for a melee fighter. But I keep hearing that a Prophet's buffs are best for an Archer. I'm just curious, what special buff(s) does a Prophet have for an Archer? (I'm not including the CoV buff at the really high levels.)
Well, I beg to differ, but WCs buffs are better for melee, imo. And they can be boxed also; I in fact box a WC with my Destroyer. But, OK, a WC doesn't get WW or Zerk for an Archer. Thanks for this info, Yatta7.
Edit: I will concede to Nya, a WC has to level up quite a bit to have all the good buffs for a melee.
Mages with bad jewellery do not take zerk in dangerous areas (i.e. the rift).
There are plenty parties where I would have been fine without BtB, but I do like having it as an extra padding to allow the group to handle other mobs while I half-kite without needing to spam heals on myself.
Decrease Weight makes no sense unless someone (including yourself) knew you were coming and went overweight. Level 3 lets you pack around 63% weight without getting penalised.
