Healer/buffer weapon

Hrm so I got a healer buffer that could be A/S grade but it's using mysterious sword with acumen. Nice and cheap and it does the job. Now the question is should I upgrade it to A grade weapon and why? Actually I have 2 weapons for it both C grade. The other weapon has mana up SA. Also if I go A grade I'll only get one weapon for it.
Personally if it isn't your main, I wouldn't bother upgrading at all unless you got alot of adenas to burn. The question is do you use any really Matk dependant spells? If the answer is a " not really" then I'd say forget about it.
When I still used my Shillien Elder I was using CG weapons...I never saw my roots or sleeps failed too much to even consider upgrading.
True. Unless you want to use root/trance/block ww/whatever in pvp, a C grade weapon works just fine all the way to lvl 80. I have no problems landing root on 80+ mobs with a +3 homu. And the matk difference between a C grade weapon and a S grade one is irrelevant for heals.
my se used a +0 homu all the way to 70
half the time she never even used sps to root/sleep mobs
heals are heaps better with sps than they are with a uber +20 S grade weapon so when you are healing just use whatever weapon uses the cheapest shots (with acumen if need be)
Matk wise, no need to upgrade as it has been said, however, I put a B grade weapon on my bishop (1 of a 3 box) for weight management (3x shots vs 1x) as she is also holding spirit ore and spare shots for my main. is somewhat time consuming to do or expensive (crafting vs buying) but its a judgement call.
I have a SoV so I can carry the same type of shots with melee weapon (Kris) as with nuker weapon, and for weight purposes as well (and cos it looks hot ^^).

I don't see a good reason to upgrade to A personally.
From this type of thread i can say this : Nerf trance and root!

Make buffs and heals matk dependant while youre at it!

As SE you have more then 40 WIT no matter what you do, bit normal your root lands almost all the time huh.
You can beat 1k M Attk on an SE without even have to overenchant your weapons.
Yep, debuffs need a nerf - not trance and root (or sleep for that matter, which also sticks disgustingly well). The nerf is simply to use the square root of MAtk in the calculation of their land rates, not a linear formula as they have it now.

But that would make too much sense.

That aside though - it is fair that healers actually need least money, because they are most hard pressed to make any on their own.

Q F T

If we needed weapons just as good as nukers, so had to use the most expensive shots, plus ore, AND be totally group dependant, omg. No one would play a healer at all.
Looks like I'll stick to the C grade stuff a bit longer.
Healer using a Basalt, why? Because I can hit harder and I don't mind paying for shots.

If you don't need to hit stuff a low B wep would be good because shots are cheap and you use 1 per unlike Cg where it's 2-3 per.

wouldnt you be better off useing a sword or somin?
i mean we all know what blunts are like
With the blunt I hit stuff, I don't get any crit buffs as a LE so I might as well hit people more consistently. Plus their cheaper.
I've a mysterious sword (Acumen) and a crystal staff (Mana Up) and don't plan to upgrade to A. I may try to get a deadman staff (Magic Regen) to replace crystal staff (Mana Up), but it's still C.
Mysterious sword (Acumen) : bsps C x2 -> cheap and efficient for both heals and buffs. Don't even need a homunkulus (way overrated IMHO).

And if you have to hit with a healer, there's a problem somewhere, duh!
Magic regeneration casts the regeneration buffs, it does not help you regenerate MP faster. ;o

By the way - hitting with a healer is not about having to, but being able to. :)
Ah thank you I didn't know what Magic Regen does exactly.
If you really want to hit with a healer, ask a hero of your class. I'm sure they found a way. Maybe they heal their victims until they die of boredom :p
Daggers are currently the best DPS (and while you don't do anywhere near as much damage as a melee, you still do more than NOT doing anything - about comparable to a nuker that is pacing themselves not to run out of mana, especially at lower levels) for mystic classes at low level, although I'd tend towards a focus blunt at higher levels.

At 5x, especially in small groups, your damage output makes a notable difference.
