Hi, I'm a new player and am interested in joining an academy (hopefully with 2 characters but I don't know if there's a limit).
Since I divide my time between WoW and real life I can't be a hardcore, playing for 5 hours every day person but I will be on regularly and think I can contribute to a clan.
If you have an academy slot open and are interested, feel free to send me a private message or respond to this thread.
Do I need to provide additional information, such as character name or class that I'd like to put in an academy? Is it because I said I play WoW? I promise that I don't talk about it because it's a seperate game and has no bearing on Lineage 2.
Welcome to Erica :) It's just quiet this week, usually you would
get several pm's or reply's by now. What is your in game name
and level? I will mention you to my clan leader. There are 3 new
members of our academy, lvl 17, 22 & 20. The 20 is my alt. Have you been to Dion yet?
Just hang out there for a few days, you will meet lots of people.
Also, be careful leveling outside of Dion.
You can get pk'd, usually on weekends, weekdays are a
bit safer :p
We are a casual clan, no griefing or scamming or wars
There's not a lot of interaction going on in these forums. Your best bet is to meet a few people in-game and start hanging-out with them and ask them to join their clan.
And no need to be defensive about having played other MMOs.
The main reason you're having trouble finding a clan to accept you in it's academy is probably because clans have to be level 5 or higher to benefit from having people in it's academy, and in general the higher clans of this server are very xenophobic. If you don't know a lot of their members well or have a reputation that precedes you, your chances of getting accepted are pretty slim.
But fear not, there are many more casual clans in this game which would suit you better since you don't intend to spend tons of time online. But those clans are looking for people with similar personalities as their's, so get started talking to people and hope you click well with someone.
Or go in dion / giran and shout a bit, some casual clans go there on recruiting duty once in a while to give new players a chance.
Oh, and I'd invite you in my clan, but it's just a fake clan for now, so wouldn't be doing you a favour to invite you over hehe.
Well anyway, thank you both for your replies and I'll do as you suggested and look around in Dion as well as send hazey a private message once I've settled on a main character. Right now I'm playing a couple to level 19 just to see which one I might like the best.
