Have you ever sat in Giran/Dion/Aden with your char trying to sell stuff to afford a good weapon/Armor etc and you really aint doing anything else?
Sitting and watching tv just to snear alitle on the moniter to see if anything is sold.. and suddenly you see that a new grey chat message have come up and you think you have sold something, and you get up from the sofa just to see that it said..
"You have been playing for a veeeeery long time bla bla bla "
and you really just wanna sell the stuff so you can go on playing but you just have to wait sooo dame long?
And the hours go by slowly one by one...
I know I am not alone in this you all know the pain :D
I try to only sell when I'm afk.. sleep, work, etc, etc.
anyhow.. yeah.. you think you sold something but nada! It's even worse when you setup to sell and know you have the lowest price, or the only one for sale in town.. your shop title has the item in it, you have a good spot where it's easy to find you.. and the thing doesn't sell for like a **** week..
It's depressing when you wake up and nothing has sold, though =(.

Then you /wrist and when you come back from the hospital you find out that you got disconnected 5 minutes after you were put into the ambulance. Then you find the nearest blunt object and bash your brains in.

Made me laugh.. espically the " Diconnect after 5 min part " as it`s so true.. *sniffles* :eek:
Whats worse is that Gameguard blocks many other games (heroes 5, Supreme Commander, Spellforce 2, etc.), so you can't even play on the same machine as you're selling unless you're doing something illegal either RL (pirated games) or ingame (not using official client).
LOL reminds me something ... last time I refused to install original Splinter cell because of that stupid StarForce ... it's sad I have to play "patched" versions because I do not want to screw my computer even more (gameguard is enough thank you).

I mostly just set up shop before i goto bed, then just shut off the monitor.

What I love is to turn my moniter back on in the a.m. and seeing "you feel the effects of windwalk" then "windwalk has faded" ninja-buffed when Im in shop.
One thing I'm going to miss, probably within one day of getting restarted with Lineage II (starting tonight), is the Auction House feature of other games. I really do wish Lineage II had an AH system. However, the system in L2 is what it is.
As others mentioned, its all about overnight AFK selling for me.

I have to agree. I really miss the AH style of WoW, and even the player house vendors in DAoC. /findprivatestore needs a bit of work methinks lol
I prefer the L2 system over other games, because it gives the towns some life.
There are a couple things they need to do for it though.. make some way to set up shop without logging into the game. Through the website would be the best. Some type of thin client would be second best.

its like 10x as populated during their slow times than anything NA ever sees at our peak hours.
Made a sell shop with a bunch of things. Come back 5 minutes later, stand up, recheck shop. Oops, was selling a +10 of something at +0 price. THAT WAS MY PERSONAL WEAPON!!!! Luckily no one bought it and I change items. Five minutes later the +0 sells.
