L2 and Vista

I heard that if i upgrade to Windows Vista.. L2 will not run on it at all... Not supported... Is this true.. and if so, will L2 ever come up with a patch so its compatable?
There are a few threads about that in the Technical forum, but, yes L2 will work with Vista (at least the 32-bit versions), you'll just have to start it twice
On my new (clean) Vista installation, L2 runs (it starts) but then I face problems with the graphics (unstable screen as if there are 2 different pictures)
Well, i'm not a real techie, maybe you should start a new tread in the Technical section about this ? (and a new one, and a new one, and again a new one until NCSoft realizes that there actually IS a new Windows OS out there )
This isn't a problem unique to L2 either, there are lots of programs that don't work with Vista, heck I get yelled at all day long about the program I support not working on vista.
Yeah, maybe, but then (no offense) it means very poor anticipation on the part of developpers of such programs...
I mean, Vista's been widely available for about a year now, what were they waiting for exactly ?
The live version of Vista hasnt been available for long at all actually(if I remember right FINAL version wasnt actually released to anyone until 3 or 4 weeks before launch). Unless you would like developers to spend money being compatible to the beta, and then rework everything if a major change is made for release.
Yeah maybe the RTM version was only available a few weeks before the live release, but the RC1 and RC2 versions were more than enough to get a very good look at the new Vista features...
Vanguard runs perfectly on Vista technically speaking, too bad the graphics look like they're about 50 years old :p
Exactly. It could very well be, like in my case, we DID have vista like a year ago and were testing it. We still do not support it for that very reason; it just keeps being changed.
