What is the pint of formal wear?

The quests to get it look very long, as described on Stratics. But I have no clue if there is any real point in getting formal wear, and I don't want to waste my time unless this is something useful.

Depends on what you consider "useful". The reward is the formal wear. It has no "game mechanic" purpose. You can wear it or sell it.

I did the quest to get rid of my overstock of Thread, now I just love my formal wear on Nectaria :)

I think it is more then worth it.

It's one of the only nods towards RP/non-combat-related things in L2. It was a step in the right direction, it's just too bad that it rivals EQ1 Epic quests in complexity.

OK, I probably won't bother with it, at least for now. I need to work on getting A gear, and that takes a long time in itself.

I think the quest is made to remove extra base mats from the economy, due to automated farmer friends adding too many.

Well the game shouldent only be Grind and PvP; atleast its not for me. So all the things like wedding dresses, hats etc it`s all good in my book. :D

Exactly L II is still declared to be an MMORPG.

I love all the small accessory items... though i may only have two lol. :p
Even the baby pets are fun despite ppl arguing about the point of them. (heals not worth enough)
I think I would own my pet despite the fact it didn't do much else.

Formal wear quest looks long but it's a very easy quest. Takes about 4-5 mil in mats and resells for 20mil.
