This reminds me of a funny story.
There was this company, and thus this problem with "le ministère du revenu" wich is our equivalent to your IRS.
After a few hardcopy letters, I decided to just phone the lady...
IRS lady : Hello ?
Dark : Yeah there is this issue, and you wanted me to phone you ?
IRS lady : Yeah we need you to send in a testimony of your actions to justify your revenu.
Dark : Can't I just e-mail it to you ?
IRS lady : Sure, my e-mail is <false e-mail addy>
Dark : Thank you, I will send it to you today.
10 days later, after I get no mail return notice, she calls me back on the phone...
IRS lady : Look I'm going on vacation and I need to close your case.
Dark : Didn't get you get my e-mail ?
IRS lady : No. I gave you my e-mail address.
Dark : Yeah but it seems as if you made a mistake. Let me make a test, and call me in 10 minutes to tell me if you got it or not...
Did a background check on her domain, and figured it out to be the problem. Tried 3 different domains and got 2 negative notices.
5 minutes later she calls me back...
IRS lady : I got your letter. Thank you, have a nice day.
Dark : I knew you did. A nice day to you also.
I then sent her an e-mail saying : This is your e-mail address ma'am : <RIGHT e-mail addy>
She sent me a reply saying : Thanks.
