Question: Second Class Change

Player Questions Started Last reply 31 posts
I've found all the information regarding the 3 trial quests for the 2nd class change and it says they can be done at Lv35, Lv37 and Lv39. However, I was wondering if it's possible to complete all 3 after I hit Lv40?
yeah, those are just the minimum levels.
Yes.

Also during each one you have to level up once, so to 36,38,40...so it might be best to wait, unless you have help from a clan or something.
You don't have to level up during the last one./
Cool, that's good to know. Thanks for the quick replies.
Also, one quick question. Who do I speak to once I finished the quests at Lv40 to change to 2nd class? The guide didn't mention anything about it. (Darkelf BD)
Speak to one of the "masters" in Giran to complete the class change. For a Dark Elf, look in the Dark Elf guild there, obviously.
Other towns 'behind' Giran work as well, by the way: Heine, Rune, Goddard, Aden, Schuttgart, Oren etc. should all be ok.
Some people deliberately wait until lvl 40, so they can do the quest in C grade gear. Some quests are easy, as far as killing mobs, others are a bit rough. If you have one of the rough ones, like where you have to kill 100 Timak Orc Overlords and 100 Lizardmen Overlords, that is the kind of quests where you will find it easier in Cgear, and maybe also the help of some clan mates. If the toughest thing you have to do is kill 10 Grandis, no problem to do it solo in D grade.
Unless you're a cleric... duh!
I have found that you can write the steps of each of the three quests on a single sheet of paper, analyze then, and then run them together much more efficiently. Doing it this way will essentially cut the quuesting in half since everywhere you go you can work on two or three quests on each leg of your trip. You can finish up with a whack of dimensional diamonds that you didn't need.

I'm doing my final (lv39) BladeDancer quest, i've been there for 3 days, but i got so fed up that i just stopped playing right now, and i'm gonna go out and dont wanna hear about this game anymore for the rest of the day. Yeah, unfortunately, no smiley here, i'm serious.
I remember it was horrible the 1st time for my Shillien Knight, but this one is boring, stupid and horrible.
You have to come back about 58962 times to the exact same place you were before, enough is enough, this isnt even remotly fun anymore.
So i even got to a point where i didnt even read what the NPCs were saying (me, not reading the lore !!!!), i just cliked on the blue link, put some loud music on (which i never do usually) and try not to think about it...
Yeah i know this game's hardcore and blah blah blah, but i'm not paying to waste my time, so that's the end of it for today, hopefully by tomorrow i will have find back my motivation
Good suggestion by RumPunch. Another approach is to use the quest guides on Stratics. On some of the quests, I have found them to have a good optimization of minmizing travel. The degeree of optimization seems to be quest-dependent, and varies. Some quests just seem to allow for lots of optimizaion of traveling, others not so much. FYI, I recall one of the quests for my SH alt was very well optimized on the Stratics walk-through.
I like to run the quests at the same time, i write them down, and try to overlap parts. I was just starting a second class change on a dwarf. in giran the guy says to go to talking island. then the TI says to get a man****ra berry in EG, then come back. the stratics said you can skip going to TI and talk to the dwarf in giran twice. and the second time, he tells you to get a berry in EG. so it saved me a trip. went from giran to eg, then straight to TI. I am going to try and click quest twice from now on to see if there are other step skippers.
That's ok, if you want to read the lore any quest I do, or Mame, or Jute, or Tengu does (etc etc) we include all dialog. It's more fun to read all together when you're NOT doing the **** quests ;D
If you like to get rid of quests quickly and more efficiently, laying out the quests down before you do them is a great idea. Look for monsters/areas that are involved in two or more quests and try to do them at the same time.

On the other hand, if quests make you wanna take your hair out, you might want to space them off by a day or two and do them as they become finishable. I know for sure the 2nd quest you have a level 37 part and a level 38 part, can't say for the others, so doing them at 36, 38 and 39 would be good if you get bored easily from quests.
If you wanna combine your quests, listing them in Excel makes it nice and easy to order the elements into a more logical order.

Also, remember to use your dimsension diamonds to buy scrolls to towns for the longer ports, e.g. Dwarven Village to Giran. ;)

I almost quit the game during the 2nd class quest.

3rd class change was a real effort to just get the energy to start.

I actually had to spread it out (with sub class) over 2 months because I absolutely hated them.

It's a shame as I think the "idea" of the class change quest could be extremely fun.

Yeah i almost did too, as you can tell i was really bad-moody this afternoon, but, thanx to the great people from my clan, here i am now (http://www.ultimatom.com/BD.jpg) !!!!
Gratz Grazzt :)

Good job.

I just finished my Warcryer today as well. So now I've done Gladiator, Abyss Walker, Prophet, Shillien Elder, Warsmith, Blade Dancer, Silver Ranger, Sorcerer and Warcryer. None are "fun".

At some point I'll have to finish my Bounty Hunter, Hawkeye and Elemental Summoner...
I have finished SE, BD, TH, 2x BH, 2x WS (call me masochist ...) and SH so far. Most annoying quests were for BD ... even dwarven quests can be considered funny compared to those to BD. It was only "go there get 10-50-100 of those, come back, go somewhere else bring 10-50-100 items ... go even anywhere else and bring 5 items of 10 monster scattered allover continent, rinse repeat 5 times for all 3 quests.. Grrrrr ...
OL x2 (darn pts), SE x2 (darn pts), Prophet, Warlock, HE, Sorc, WS x3 (darn pts), Necro and SK so far.

Thankfully for Interlude we won't have to redo 2nd class change quests yet again :) (or 3rd or subclass quest for that mather)
Thanx everybody :p

Nice, rocking the Chain Mail, not as good as Composite Armor (http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/Badams92/SantaHatinEV.jpg), but I could be biased. Which duals are those? They look like Artisan's, yet they're not. You also need to update your sig!

Yes they're Dual Spinebone, and they look evil
But they're still D-Grade though, i got enough money for the armor but not for the weapon, as soon as i've got enough i need to get C-Grade...
As for the Composite Armor, yeah the upper part looks very cool, but i was kinda tired of those strange-looking panties, i dont wanna wear a skirt anymore :p
(updated my sig too, thanx for the reminder !)

What ?
How ?
When ?
Why ?
:p
I was referring to the PTS ( public test server ), not the regular servers, so don't worry, quests on the real server never get reset ;)

This PTS everyone will start at level 77 with the 2nd, 3rd class change quests done, 100m and subclass quest done. In the past you often started level 1 and had to do the quests by yourself.

Oh, and as far as upgrading equip goes, usually in L2 it's better to upgrade your weapon first, armor second, although there are a few exceptions ;)
Warlock x2, SH, SE, Bishop, HE, BHx2, TK, ES, EE, PP.
