[Bartz] Player Event: Pet Day

As most of you are well aware, the pet system is, well, fairly worthless. From the looks of it, it's hardly used but, IMO, deserved a bit more love and time in the spotlight. So, I'm proposing a player run event: Pet Day.

Purpose:
To gather like-minded users of the pet system and form parties to level our pets with. Any and everyone is welcome -- just note, I'm not going to party defend (as I'll be on my summoner with the hatchling out). Ideally I'd like to keep this a nice, carebear-ish type thing, so just be aware of this.

Location:
Meet in Hunter's Village at the empty Rogue Guild next to the Magic Guild

Time:
This Sunday, March the fourth at 6 p.m. Eastern.
(It's left as a exercise to the participant to convert that to their local time. :P)

What to bring:
If we actually get enough folks for a decent pet party, be sure you're well stocked. Beast SS, Blessed Pet Rez Scrolls, Haste Pots, Plenty of food. I'm not planning on supplying anything, so come prepared!

Don't have a pet?
Fear not. If you'd like to participate, just show up and I'll reach into my hatchling stock. Only if you're going to stick around to party, though! Don't just come for free handouts, please.

Since I have my doubts that I can pull enough folks to actually get anything decent out of this, I'm only going to try this once. If it catches on .. well, we'll see about it then.

interesting idea aya! question: are hatchlings the preferred pet, and does it matter what char class/level we are?

Ideally hatchlings and wolves. Since I'm aiming for pets that can hold their own, your own level and class shouldn't be a factor. While I won't go so far as to say the 10% pets aren't allowed, it seems to be pretty silly unless we get a whole party of folks the same level range to show up.

I am going to try to be there, but do you have a feeling at all of the levels of people. I just don't see A grades with pets where I see alot of D / C grades with pets is all.

Not on Bartz but very interested if this was accomplished.

Sadly, it did not. After 20 minutes of no turnout, I gave up.

I know, R/L stopped me that night. I was looking forward to it too with wolfie.

I wanted to attend because I love pet parties, but I don't play on Bartz. :( The highest level character I have there is 14.

Sounds like a good time to go PK some pets..
