Broken quest or i doing something wrong?

I am trying to complete a low level quest called "Bones of the dead" (lvl 10-18 i think) and i have to go to the school of dark arts to collect (10) bone fragments from the skeletons there. I got 2 bone fragments and was on my way, then a 3rd and 4th. Problem is they never showed up in my quest log, still said 2/10. So i said ok and 45 mins and a couple deaths later it still says i only have 2/10 bone fragments no matter how many more i collect. Is this quest having a problem or am i missing something? Thanks for any help.

Is it the Bones Tell the Future Quest? I'll give it a go and let you know.

I'm doing that quest right now, or at least I have that quest and am about to do it.

There's actually two quests that use bone fragments: Bones Tell the Future (the one I think you mean when you say "Bones of the dead") and "Spirit of Craftsman."

It could be starting two piles: one for one quest, one for the other quest.

I was actually thinking about this, just last night, when I got the quests and noticed both required 10 bone fragments.

Since NC Soft are sadists (=P jk!) I had a funny feeling the 10 wouldn't count for both: I'm guessing we'll need two piles of 10 bone fragments ~ one pile for each quest.

I did both quest simultaneously, and got 2 different piles of bone fragments.
Drop rate is not always good. You may need a pair of hours on twinked nuker (quickest kill rate) to do it.

For bones tell the future it worked fine, took forever though. It's probably what the others said and there's two piles of the same quest item.

double check in INVENTORY --theres a tab for quest items ---if its in there yor golden
I have had this prob wth some quests ---no tally spot in quest log :confused: :confused:

This one has a tally, but yeah a lot of quests have no tally or after a mysterious amount of quest items, morph into what you really need. The BH quests were bad for that.

From what I remember of that quest, it's just that the drop rate on the quest items IS that low.

It's nothing new really, for most repeatable quests, the fewer the items you need the lower the drop rate.

Yes it was the Bones of the future quest i dont know where i got bones of the dead from, anyway the thing was as someone metioned, i had 2 quests both requesting 10 stacks of fragments, and when i collected some it was going into the other stack, then back into the 2/10 stack, i had forgotten i had 2 diff quests wanting same item soi finally got both quests done this evening, took about a good hour or so. Thanks guys for the help.
