you have to speak the magic words on soe scroll to activate it, if you silenced you cant do that.

Just stop comparing it to silence. It is not silence. This one is lvl 99... lasts an hour... and blocks all activated abilities including SOE. There is nothing to discuss. This is not about the meaning of silence... or if soe is a skill. This is nothing but one disgruntled player thinking he has something on the GMs just because he failed to understand a well known game mechanic.

Looked like a complete response to me. You can't use skills like a SOE with a raid curse. The curse lasts but can't say how long. Awful seriously, preemptively answering an unasked question like that.

You can SOE when silenced.

You cannot soe when silenced by an RB.

It's how the game is, and it's kinda stupid. If anything SOE/BSOE should be prevented when silenced by a player as well :P

It's stupid that you have to either die or get a lift from an EE back to town, and then die. RB petrify only last for 2 minutes, that's long enough..

I dont see why you people have to make every topic into slander, even if you dont like someone. He asked a simple question, which I think is a good question. I have never been raid cursed before, and since I can soe while cursed by the priests, or say cursed at hot springs. It was interesting to learn that a soe "item" is actually a "skill". In that case I think any sort of curse should be treated the same way, or they should change that. A simple answer would of been nice for once.

You answered it yourself in the bolded section: raid curse keeps you from using magic. A scroll is considered magic, so using a scroll would be the same as using magic. You are able to use health pots and other potions becuase they aren't magic just a mixture of various items.

Edit: as far as the response goes thats a pretty standard looking response so its probalby the one the gms send to everyone that petions on raid curse.

Would? Hm, you either are or are not I think.

This is a gameplay issue. The answer should have been that they don't get involved in gameplay assistance. Instead post it as a player question or submit a bug report if you think it's a bug. But since it's not a bug, then asking the players would be the answer.

It did change, you certainly used to be able to SoE and unstuck with RB curse, but I'm not sure when this change happened. It was a good change in my opinion, otherwise it was far too easy to SoE and port close to the boss and be back in just a couple of minutes.

The curse wasn't a serious penalty at all then.

After a raid boss where I healed and the minions were dark blue to me, I got silenced by the boss. I couldn't soe ... had to run to Aden. Last time I'll do that.
