You need to do both quests, but you also need parts coming from "Arrogant Search" and "Supplier of Reagents"
thats not what it says in the library
it only says you need to compleet Mimir's Elixir quest in order to sub and when i read the quest guide it dont says anything related to Fate wisper
anyway if i realy need to do fate wisper i guess GG and move on
arrogant search is nessecary to enter Baium
Supplier of reagents is nessecary for some special mats that are needed for mimirs elixir.
these 2 and arogant search you can/should start them earlier than 75.
btw, supplier of reagents is an endless quest, you just have to get it and nothing more. you may find the nessecary mats, in market and buy them
but how is wisper Related to mimirs elixir??
yes i real you need to craft pure silver and pure gold whatever for the Mimirs elixir
but i dont just cant follow how comes wisper is in any way related to it
You must finish Fate's Whisper which allows you to move onto Mimir's Elixer but you also must do An Arrogant Search which allows you to go up into baiums room which you'll need to do for the fate's whisper quest, and you will need Supplier of Reagants for the elixer quest.
The Reagants quest will need to do until you have 100 moonstone shards, 10 Volcano Ashes, and 2 Quick Silver.
Hopefully that helps ya out a bit, it takes awhile to get these done, especially the parts of camping raid bosses, unless you are in a big clan on the server that has no problem taking them.

Pretty sure for the reagents stuff you can just buy the final product, I can't remember what it's called but I just ponied up money to buy the bits of stuff.

Well subclassing is a bonus, not a given. Might makes right in this game.
That being said, my clan didn't kill any of my bosses for me so having 3 people .. well, so? The first boss I got the box from a friendly random clan killing, the rest from farmers mostly, and some of my clan. And Baium took a lot of patience and waiting on an alt and waiting days and hours and days and hours. But he didn't kill me.
You aren't meant to solo baium for that quest part, by the way. That would be foolishness.
Huh?My ally got 210 ppl in it.I didnt call them to make my RBs at all rofl.Cabrio got killed by the farmers and the other 3 got killed by a single cov archer party. They were sooo nice to give me a ride to the top too ^_^
Good thing our enemies dont seem to care :p
I finished all of the sub quest w/ no clan at all...
fate's wisper
jus wait until the raid gets killed then talk to the box
you dont have to be in the party or have to hit the boss at all just talk to the box when its over
baium is jus waiting till it lets you go in... have a clanmate or a alt w/ bloddy fab ready to port in when you do to wake him for you...i survived when i woke him for someone else but my friend took 1,100,000+ dmg waking him for me
make sure you back up away from the stairs or he will kill you before you can even reach him to poke
mimirs elix
Stratics guide is good for the most part...
but i suggest when it says below giants cave should have no trouble solo even for a healer class..... take a friend or atleast a buffer self buffed solo they might be a bit ruff
also Stratics doesnt tell anything about the guardians in the lair... they are a group mob and a bit far into the lair to solo..
take a group of 4 or 5 and have someone lead you to the kariks.... guardians are in the next room
for the most part jus follow what Stratics guides say and youll be in good shape
Subclassing is *sadly* like hazing. How much time are you willing to waste to create a level 40 toon that you will subsequently waste even more time getting to 75 so you can provide points to overpowered people in the Olympiad?
But seriously, after you finish the subclass quests you will revel in the joy of gaining levels quickly again.
I did all of the RB in last minute pick-up parties. I created a low-level character and parked them at the RB. Each time I logged in I would check if the RB was up. This worked pretty well. It took something like 3 or 4 weeks to get all the RB done and another 2 weeks or so to get Baium. My clan helped me get to each of the RB and to Baium. Have to fight lots of mobs going from ToI 5 to Baium! The funniest thing was I shouted for Death Lord Hallate and got called up to the room. The minute I stepped into the room I got 1-shot critted by a mage. They killed the RB and kindly rezzed me so I could open up the box after they picked up the loot.
Although you got most of the answers you were looking for on the subclass quest here is a brief summary:
Supplier of Reagents
Get supplier of reagent quest. Have to farm moonstone shards, volcanic ash, and quicksilver to make one lunargent. If you use the 100% success method of creating you'll need 100 moonstone shards, 10 volcanic ash, and 1 quicksilver. Hint: using the Ifrit heat setting worked OK for Moon Dust for me but sucked for Lunargents.
If you don't want to farm these reagents you can usually buy lunargents in Giran. On Kain they run 2 - 4 million adena each.
You also need this quest to mix the reagents used in the Mimir's Elixir quest.
Arrogant Search
Have to do this to get blooded fabric to be able to port in to see Baium. This is a quest item and can't be traded. Getting the first blooded fabric takes F O R E V E R. There are some good quest guides on Stratics for this quest.
Fate's Whisper
This is the hardest part of the quest. You have to kill a bunch of RB first, then slash Baium with a quest dagger.
1> Kill Cabrio. You don't need to fight at all. After Cabrio dies you have to open up the box. Do it fast it doesn't stay around too long.
2> After Cabrio you then have to do the same thing to 3 RB in ToI: Kernon, Golkonda, Death Lord Hallate
3> Next you have to slash Baium with the dagger. To see Baium you first have to get blooded fabric from the Arrogant Search quest.
4> Now you have to turn in the dagger AND a top B weapon (you pick, best choice is probably SLS*SLS since they are cheap to make unless you can find a cheap top B for sale. You get a low A weapon of your choice in return (and I think an EWA too but not sure).
5> You also get a quest item that you have to have to start the Mimir's Elixir quest.
Mimir's Elixir
You have to kill a bunch of random monsters to get items that you mix in the basement of Ivory Tower with the Supplier of Reagent quest. The hardest part will be getting the lunargent and then hunting the mobs in DVC. Make sure that you carefully follow the item mixing requirements! You have to use very specific heat settings for the items to mix properly. See the Stratics quest guide.
Well, I made sure I whacked each boss at least once... and I got the box each time. And the way I got to Baium was I got summoned up there when one of the big clans on Lionna were going to raid him. That was sweet!! Summoning ftw!!!!
And btw, EllieBelly's quest guides on Stratics are awesome. Thanks for such a fabulous meticulous job, Eliie.
you dont have to be in the party or have to hit the boss at all just talk to the box when its over
WRONG!
Someone with hte quest NEED to hit the raid boss at least once, if non got the quest, it won't spawn.
That isnt true, all my bosses were done by a titan with the zarache, who didn't have the quest, and I never hit one, the box spawns regardless if someone with the quest hits it or not.
Make sure that you carefully follow the item mixing requirements! You have to use very specific heat settings for the items to mix properly. See the Stratics quest guide.
always use the lowest temperature (Salamander). never heard of anyone successfully using the hotter temperatures, the chance of success is just too low, unless they've changed it.

Actually an ally member used the highest and got 3 lunagents on the price of 1.I havent heard anyone else succeding though.

I used Ifrit (middle) for Moon Dust and one night it worked 70% of time so I got 2 Lunargents for < 100 moonstone shards. I tried Phoenix to make Lunargents and it didn't work well at all, maybe 10% success rate. On another night Ifrit for Moon Dust didn't work very well. In the end my average was only slightly less than 100 moonstone shards per Lunargent.
Also, in Mimir's Elixir quest you have to use the Phoenix setting to make one of the quest items. That was what I wanted to point out. Carefully read the directions for the quest to be sure you use the correct heat setting!
most likely their are 100's of topics about it weird thing is i did not be enable to search of it
still i am ****** of you realy need to do fate wisper
it realy screws my gameplay a lot

No it points you in the way the game has to be played to move on. If you don't like that...
